Chapter three

I yawn and slowly try to open my eyes. The mirror on the other side of the room shows my tired self. I stand up and walk to the kitchen while my head replays the song girls by girlinred. My phone rings. I pick it up and Mattie's name lights up on the display. I accept the call and their happy voice starts talking. "HEYY", they say. "Hi, what's up?"
"I wanted to ask if you want to hang out?" "
Yeah of course, when and where?!"
"Let's go to Starbucks! I heard they sell Mike tea!"
"Omg! I didn't know that. Let's go there!"
I convince them to meet at their house at 5pm so I have 2 hours left to dress up. I do my makeup and hair and my dad drives me to Mattie's apartment in La. They open the door looking fantastic and I say: "Peridot Bestie you look dope!" "Thanks Bestie you look stunning!", They answer. We walk to a Starbucks nearby and enter. "I'll take the Milk tea.", Mattie says heading to the female cashier.
"She's so hot", they whisper.
"Yea, go talk to her!"
"I can't, I whould probably do something weird and she won't like me."
"No. You can't do anything wrong, go for it Mattie!"
"Okay. I will!", They say and walk up to the counter.
