It seemed like he had no reason to take you here, but he had a good reason.
He knew that there was probably going to be some point in life where you needed to defend yourself with a gun. But if you didn't know how to use one, how would you defend yourself?
He was only concerned for you.
"Never forget the safety, alright?" He spoke to you, making you nod as he took care of the safeties on the gun.
He held his gun, taking out his phone as he checked the time, seeing it was almost 1 pm.
He put it away, looking towards you. "You want to head to my house and hang out? We can figure out what to do there, if you want."
You nodded towards him, as you rubbed your eyes, accidentally leaning into him. He noticed, but he didn't really care about it. It felt a little nice, actually.
He didn't know what it was, but there was something about you that made his stomach do flips and turns. He kept thinking it was just him being excited to have a new friend, which was partly true, but it also made him smile whenever you smiled. He could only imagine the pain he would feel if he saw you having some sort of panic attack from your disorder.
It's why he's tried to keep you distracted with loud noises, like his gun, the music, and his singing, so maybe he could help get those nasty thoughts out of your head.
And to his luck, it was working
It was a win-win situation, really. He keeps you distracted and happy, which makes him distracted and happy.
He slowly lifted a hand and put it on your shoulder as comfort, making you smile as the two of you made your way to Pico's house.
After he let you in, you walked inside nervously. He could tell you weren't the type feeling comfortable with walking into another person's house
"You can go ahead and make yourself at home real quick, I'll be back." He spoke to you as he shut the front door. You sat on the couch, watching him go upstairs.
He took a deep breath, covering his face for a moment as he went in his bathroom, opening a bottle of his antipsychotics, taking them. He was too nervous of seeing hallucinations, especially around you. If he started to freak out around you, he might..
Not wanting to think about it, he closed the bottle, walking back down the stairs to join you, sitting down next to you. You looked quite tired, and he assumed you were probably up late, but he didn't blame you.
He leaned back against the couch, deciding that the two of you could just rest there, but he never expected you to leaned your head on his shoulder.
He seemed to tense up for a moment, before wrapping an arm around you, relaxing as you rested against him.
His phone vibrated, and he took it out, looking at what it was.
Dork🚫
I'm bored rn and
Cherry is still out,
wanna chill or
something?
He looked at the message he got from Kieth before he decided to text back.
Dork🚫
Sure, just be
quiet when
you come in.
He closed his eyes before looking in your direction, staring as you slept peacefully on his shoulder. He seemed happy seeing you like this, he found it to be comforting listening to your calm breaths.
At this point, Keith slowly opened the door, peaking inside before looking towards Pico. "Pico? I'm here.. why'd you want me to- ..pfft-"
Pico glared at Keith as he snickered quietly. "..Kieth, if you wake them up, I swear to fucking god I'm shoving this gun down your throat and feeding you led."
Kieth put his hands up, smirking as he just moved next to him slowly. "Alright- fine." He whispered. "How'd you get in this position, eh?"
"Just shut up.." Pico murmured, his hand still wrapped around you, pulling you in slightly closer.
"What are you two, a couple?" Kieth raised an eyebrow, questioning him as Pico only looked away, closing his eyes. ".. I just like the comfort." He murmured. "I wouldn't do that to them. Besides, we just met. We're only friends."
Kieth slightly smiled. "Well, either way, I'm glad you found someone new to keep you happy. Changing subject, wanna.. uh.. as quietly as we can play a game or something?" Kieth asked with a snicker. Pico rolled his eyes. He knew very well him and Kieth were probably the loudest gamers ever. "If you put the game in, sure-"
Kieth shrugged, getting off the couch to pick a game out for the two of them.
------
They've been playing for an hour or two, and they've been doing surprisingly well at keeping quiet, despite the two of them quietly raging at an annoying platformer.
Kieth died, and he got genuinely annoyed, this time cursing a bit loud. "Fuck this!-"
Pico tensed up and slowly looked down towards your sleeping figure, where you were still surprisingly laying against his shoulder. But, you stirred from your nap, as this made Pico glare at Kieth and quietly murmur something under his breath. "You're gonna be so lucky if they're not awake I swear to fucking-"
Unfortunately for Kieth, you opened you eyes and yawned, looking around in confusion as Pico glared at Kieth for a moment before looking at you. "Did you sleep good?"
You didn't notice that you had been sleeping on his shoulder, stretching. "It was alright.. sorry I fell asleep on you- why didn't you wake me up?" You huffed at him, making him shrug as he leaned back into the couch, unwrapping his arm from you. "You looked exhausted."
You noticed Kieth was there, smiling as you waved at him. He looked nervous, and clearly you didn't know why. "Oh, hey Kieth, what's up?"
He looked away. "Tell your boyfriend to not shove led down my throat please-"
Pico chocked on his water, coughing as he covered mouth for a minute. "ahdjfk- I am NOT their boyfriend for fucks sake-"
You seemed confused, shrugging as you just took out your phone while the two argued. True best friends indeed.
