"What ?" I asked and she looked at me Before shaking her head and looking away

"Nothing." She said before getting around and I smacked my teeth

"Nah what ? What other shit you got to talk Janiya ? Deadbeat ? A bitch ? You'll-

Interrupting me she pulled me into a tight long hug and I felt like a weight was lifted off my body before I looked down at her and I began hugging her back before I felt her slowly grip on to my shirt harder. Her small bump kept a gap in between the two of us as she hurried her head into my chest.

"I'm so sorry all this is happening to you.." she told me and I looked down before a wave of guilt washed over.

"How'd you know ?" I asked her before we walked fully into the den

"Ary told me, I know that shit hit you." She said and I nodded

"I'm still taking it in, but I'm ight, always has been." I said and she shook her head

"Can you stop ?" She asked before rubbing her head and I looked at her

"See and its shit like this that makes me not want to come around, what do you want Janiya ?" I asked and she looked up at me.

"No, it's the fact that you couldn't pull out and now you have a consequence... that's why you won't come around, and nah I don't want anything from you Keshawn, I just want to be here for you." She said before pushing me towards the couch area and she sat down with me before sighing and resting her head on my shoulder.

"Did you ever get to tell ya ma about the baby?" She asked

"You wanna know what's crazy ? That morning I went to practice and I dropped Liyah and Ary off to the mall before I went to go see her, and she seemed in good spirit. We sat and talked and she asked if I was focusing on anyone except for myself and her business." I explained and we lightly laughed

"I told her it may not be my top focus, but I might have a seed on the way." I added before we went in silence

"Man Her body was week, but the slap in the face she gave me knocked the jr out my name, I'm talking about Ian ever heard her yell Keshawn so loud." I said and we both laughed again

"So she was upset ?" She asked and I nodded

"But not over the fact that I got somebody pregnant... over the word might. She instantly knew I wasn't putting myself in the soon to be position and she don't even play like that. " I said and she nodded before we went into a silence

"Damn..I really am sorry Janiya." I said before looking at her and she raised her eyebrows Before looking at me also

"You coming through being here for me right now and Ian even make it to one doctors appointment.." I said and she looked down

"I'm just... I'm at the point where it is what it is. I went nights regretting not taking your word and getting a abortion... but after seeing all the support I actually have, it doesn't hurt me anymore that you don't want to be in his life." She said before furrowing her eyebrows

"His?" I asked

"Yea... his." She said before slowly getting up

"And if actually being with me was what kept you away, I've been through enough to handle you telling me that you wasn't ready for me. We could've did what we had to do for our kid and kept it pushing, but feel better Keshawn." She said before opening the door
