UNSTABLE [Pico x Reader]

Chapter 2

The two of you still had a bit of time left before you had to leave, so you excused yourself to the bathroom for your medications.

You looked at yourself in the mirror, taking out your mood stabilizers as you had took a bottle of water with you, using the water to gulp one down. You hated medications, but you also hated feeling horrible.

Your new outfit didn't have a pocket, though, so you didn't know what you would do with it.
You decided you'd leave it in Cherry's car until it was over, she wouldn't mind.

As you and Cherry eventually made your way out to the car, you set aside the mood stabilizers in a car pocket and buckled up to head home so the both of you could change.

"How's that injury been doing, Y/N? Any better?" She asked, as you laid back in the passengers seat, relaxing. "I'm not even sure. I can only guess it's doing better, because I haven't forgotten anything yet. But..eh. I dunno." You shrug. She nodded, keeping her eyes on the road. "Any mood swings lately? You've looked pretty happy, so I could only guess not."

You nodded, laughing softly. "Yeah, no mood swings so far. Its a good thing these mood stabilizers work for that, otherwise I'd be all over the place. Still not able to get that much sleep though."

Cherry nodded, soon enough reaching your house as the two of you go out to get ready for the night.

You both changed into your new clothes, and after, Cherry did your hair. You weren't fond of it, of course, but you did hers as well. You seemed pretty used to it, since back then, your mom would ask for help with it. You knew exactly why though.

You got into the car again, taking a deep breath to relax the small anxiety that the antidepressants took care of as Cherry drove to a part of the town you've never seen before.

As the two of you got out, you saw everyone.

Pico was leaning against a giant speaker, twirling his Uzi in his hand as he chatted with Keith. You don't know why he was the first thing you noticed, you could only guess it was because of the gun though.

It seemed like Cherry's parents were practicing with eachother, and you couldn't help but to notice two kids in a pumpkin and skeleton costume chasing eachother around. They looked so adorable!

The only people you knew were Keith, Pico, and barely Cherry's mom. So this was gonna be a new experience.

You followed Cherry to the group nervously as you bit the inside of your lip, taking a nervous breath as Cherry called out to everyone with a smile. "Hey guys!"

Keith immediately beeped, running over to say hi to Cherry as everyone looked toward your direction, staring at you.
You wanted to avoid that.

You saw Pico look over to stare too, and you nervously waved at everyone.
"Uh..hi..?"

After saying hi to Kieth, Cherry smiled and called to everyone. "For everyone that doesn't know, this is Y/N, my best friend!"

Immediately, the two children looked over, racing towards you as you yelped from them pushing you over.
"HI!"

You gasped as you kept yourself up, looking at the children.
"Hi there! I'm Skid!" The one in the skeleton costume spoke as he climbed on his friend's back.
"And I'm Pump!" The kid in the pumpkin costume greeted you. You couldn't help but to let your heart melt at how adorable the two were.

"And we are the spooky twins!" They both cheered in unison before doing a dance.

You smiled at the two, waving. "Hi there! I'm Y/N, it's nice to meet you both!"
This is when Cherry called you over, making you get up and wipe the dust and dirt off your outfit as you waved bye to the children, rushing towards Cherry who was sitting on top of the speakers.
You jumped up, crawling your way beside her.
