she screamed. the lifeless body lay before her, covered in blood. the same blood that dirtied her hands, the same blood that would haunt her for the rest of her life.

"shit." she cursed.

just as she tried to hide the body with dried up leaves, a scream echoed in the empty forest.

but it wasn't hers.

pansy looked up slowly, terrified, only to see the shaking figure of a fellow student staring at the bloody corpse.

"shit." she repeated, until the petrified girl before her looked her in the eyes.

"what the fuck did you do?!" the girl screamed.

"i- i don't know, i was drunk, and she said something rude, and i lost control and i-i... i killed her..." pansy was panicking, her hands shaking, voice trembling.

"wait...are you pansy parkinson?" the girl asked.

"...yeah." pansy replied, "who are you?"

"natasha wood, i'm in your year." she said, adding, "hufflepuff." when she noticed pansy's eyes scanning her robes for a badge.

"well, natasha, i'm hoping you won't tell on me, because after all," she paused, "snitches get stitches."

natasha stared, "i'm not gonna tell on you regardless, pansy."

"thanks, natasha." pansy replied, her voice still shaking. what baffled her even more was that no matter how hard she tried, tears couldn't escape. she felt guilty, she would've never wanted to kill someone, but she grew up in a household where showing any  emotion was treated like an absolute crime.

but her only thought at the moment was, how the fuck am i going to get out of this?
