Isis is a 16 year old girl who is in an abusive household. Iris is very smart for her age and has straight A's in school. She is determined to get out of the house hold no matter what.
Her abusive father isn't intentionally abusive but he is.

I sat in my room crying myself to sleep because I had just got the beating of a lifetime because I forgot to take out the trash and we missed the garbage truck.
I soon dozed off to sleep. I had to sleep on my back because he always aims for my face.
The next morning
I woke up and went straight to the tub. I put the water on the hottest it can go and wash all the negative thoughts I was having off of me.
I got out the tub and did my morning routine and put on my robe. "Iris get the fuck here now." I yelled my dad yell.
I sighed and walking out the room. "Yes?" I said stopping at his door. "Get me some water." He said. I knew his smelled was fucked so I had an idea.
I went in the kitchen poured half water half bleach and went back in the room. "I'm trusting you." He said. He took a sip and swallowed.
"What did you put in this?" He asked. "Nothing." I said and living in this house I got good at lying but I hate doing it. "Mm I don't want this anymore put this back." He said shoving the glass in my chest.
I put the glass back in the kitchen and went back up in my room to get ready for school. "I think make up could cover this." I mumbled looking in the mirror.
I had a busted lip and black eye. I covered the black eye but my lip wasn't cooperating. I sighed and got ready to school. "Dad I'm going to have soccer practice so I'm gonna be here around five." I lied walking in his room.
"You better be here no later 5:30 or your gonna know." He said pointing at me making me nod. I walked back in my room and walked to my full body mirror looking at myself in pure disgust.

I sighed and walked out my room. I got a text on my iPhone 8 saying that my best friend hunter was coming for me.
Me and hunter been best friend for grade 2 and I'm in 12 grade. He 17 and he doesn't know about the abuse. I so badly wanted to tell him but I thought that he was gonna leave because I was too broken for his life.
He is a basketball player at our school and quite popular all the girls drool over him. I think he attractive too but I push my feelings to the side.
I was brought out of my thoughts by a car pulling up.

I walked up to his car and he smiled at me but his smile dropped when he saw my face. "Nianna what happened to your lip?" He questioned reaching for me making me flinch out of habit.
"Iris what the hell why you flinch?" He asked calmly scaring me. "N-nothing I promise." I gave him a weak smile. He just stared at me. I felt weak under his stare so I slouched in the seat.
"You know you could talk to me right?" He said with so much concerned in his eyes. "Yea I know." I said looking down swallowing the lump in my throat.
"You wan stop for breakfast or no." He asked pulling off. "No im not hungry." I mumbled. "Aight." He said turning into Ihop. "I'll be right back." He said leaving the car with the windows up and a on.
Out of habit I locked the doors. This woman walked up to me and tapped on my window. I rolled down the window. "Good morning." I said with a fake smile.
"Why aren't you wearing your mask?" She asked. "Umm because I'm not outside." I said in a duh tone. "Your gonna spread the Carona." She said. "Umm bitch the rona only exist sometimes in this book gtf. And it don't exist now." I said.
She put her hands on the door. "Move your hand or I'm gonna roll up the window and chop it off." I said with a mug. "You wouldn't dare." She said in a confident tone.
I raised my eyes brows and rolled up the window and she kept her hand there so the window was smushing her hand. Hunter came in the car and he started laughing at the situation.
He put down the window and I rolled it back up and looked at him with the biggest mug making him stop trying to put down the window.
"You gon leave me the fuck alone?" I asked the woman and she nodded. I rolled down the window a little bit and she pulled her hand out causing more pain to her.
She got it out and ran away. "You what did she do to you?" Hunter asked laughing. "She came up to the window and talk bout ion have on my mask. So I said cuz I'm not outside then she touch the car and I'm like move your hand or I'm gonna roll up the window and chop it off she didn't move it and yea."
