The Way To The Throne

The Third Test

The wizard waved his staff high in the air and his staff started to glow. And then came a bright flash and they were in a chamber. this place was not the chamber where James had visited before. This chamber was like a room. It had a lot of holes, and in the were some drawings of a person with a sword. The chamber was made out of stones. The wizard gave James a shield only this time. The wizard once again shook his staff and a clock appeared. It was the same clock from the first test.

"You know what to do right?" asked the wizard.

"Yes, but are there wolfs this time too?" asked James from the wizard.

"No, I will remove your mindset so then you won't have any brains to think." answered the wizard.

"WHAT!" exclaimed James, "No brains! How will I be able to think this through!".

"You will only remember what you have to do," said the wizard.

"Okay then, let's get on with this," said James.

The wizard started to flow he waved his staff for the third time.  And some kind of light went around Jame's head. Then the ground started to rumble. Suddenly arrows started to shoot out of the holes. James covered himself with his shield. There was a key in the center of the chamber.

"Hmmm...I think I should get that key and get it to that door," thought James, "I bet if Oradu gave me my mind I could have asked him"

Suddenly James didn't move.

"Wait a minute, Oradu told me he would take my mindset and I would only remember what to do in the test," thought James, "But then how would I remembered his name, and how would I know  how to speak!"

James then started to shout.

"Oradu!" shouted James, " If you would have taken my mindset, how come I know your name? How come I know how to speak?" Just then an arrow shot straight at James. But suddenly the arrow stopped about 1cm away from James's face. The arrow turned into bubbles and floated away. So did the other arrows. Just then The wizard appeared.

"Well done boy," shouted the wizard, "You did it! You passed!".

"Really?" asked James.

"Yes, this test was about intelligence, said the wizard, "And you had the intelligence to know that I hadn't taken your brains".

"Wow," exclaimed James.

"And guess what," said the wizard.

"What?" asked James.

"You are the first to make it this far!" exclaimed the wizard.

"No way!" exclaimed James.

James was super happy,  he couldn't believe it. He jumped up and down. He looked at his mom's watch. It was 3:00p.m. He was not late to be home. The wizard watched as James spread his happiness. James had passed The Third Test!
