I exited my room and went into the small bathroom in the hall. I brushed my teeth before moving on to flossing and finally brushing out the knots in my hair.

I put on mascara and lipgloss before I used the bathroom and exited. I dug around my room awhile longer to find my backpack only to end up empty handed.

I punched my bed in frustration, I didn't even remember if I had packed it at all. In reality it was probably in a random box in the trailer.

I gave up on finding it quickly to settle on a pen and mostly blank notebook. At the lack of backpack I grabbed a medium sized black over the shoulder purse to shove my necessities into.

After leaving five minutes later than I hoped I started my way towards my new high school. The outside brick looked dirty, one of the front steps had a chunk missing from the concrete.

At least in Las Vegas the steps weren't partially demolished.

I shoved my bike into a slot before making sure to firmly take the key out. I was parked besides multiple others- all with green snakes on them.

I started towards the school with a small amount of nerves rushing through me. I refused to let my emotions show through as I kept my natural flat face.

Teens glanced to each other in the courtyard as I passed into the front doors only to be shocked by a large object in front of both doors.  A security guard waiting on the other side waves me through and immediately it beeped loudly.

I gave the man a hard look. If he even tried to touch me I was going to break his hand.

"Go on." The man grumbled as he glanced away from my pierced ears. Apparently that excused the alarm, my earrings, definitely not the switch blade in my purse.

"Alexandria?" The secretary seemed to be waiting for me.

When I nodded she handed me a slip of paper which had my schedule and a second paper with the map on it. The schedule had a locker written in pen across it but I wasn't planning on using it.

As I stood in front of the office I glanced either way down the hall, the left only offering random students and finally when I stared hard down the right hall I caught a flash of green.

I started towards it not even entirely sure if it was a Serpent or not and secretly hoping it wasn't so I could tell my father I couldn't find them.

At the sight of purple hair the hope evaded my body. I didn't dare greet the small group of teenagers instead I leaned on the lockers down from them.

I pulled out my phone to check on my social media before going to my messages.

me: all's good. miss you guys.

The group chat for my crew of Serpents immediately went wild with multiple replies. I couldn't help but laugh a little.

emie: we miss you more!
viper: when are you visiting? or can we visit?
micah: miss your fine ass bunny
blade: how's the crew?

me: lame. a bunch of softies, seems like all they do is hang out in a bar.

As if I could feel a gaze burning me I glanced up to spot a boy standing at the corner of the hall. His hair was dark with thick curls and his eyes were basically trying to devour me.

The boy shot me a wink from the corner while making a motion with his hips and despite my disgust I couldn't help but wonder why he was keeping his distance. Usually boys like to harass up close.
