Reincarnation is the rebirth of a soul in a new body or a new better version of yourself from the past centuries.

This is a 1980 American romantic fantasy drama
That is directed by Jeannot Szwarc. It is a film adaption of 1975 novel "Bid Time Return by Richard Matheson.
Somewhere in time starts with a man who is in a party then suddenly an old woman come near to him and said " please xome back to me". After a few days he moved in the other place and find a new hotel for him to stay and then there he was facisnated by a photo of Elise Mckenna

Because of his obssession he learn from his friend that time travel can be possible by hypnosis. And then when he time travel then two person appeard destined together. But the manager of Elise becomes their conflict who fears that romance will derail her career and resolves to stop him. After that he is back into the present time and try again to time travel in 1912. In the first try he failed but when he saw his signitures on the log book he tries again and there  he succeed.

He find Elise walking by the lake. Upon meeting him Elise ask if Is it him. The manager call him and speak to him that he has to leave Elise alone and then by another chance he got to talk to elise in the boat. Richard ask Elise if what she means on "is it you?". Elise reveals that her manager predict that she will meet a man who will change her life.

Fastforward.
When Elise agreed to marry him Elise promised that she will buy him a new suit because it is out of style. In that one suit Richard discover a one coin with a1979 mint date. This accident make him back to the present and then when he tries to return in the year 1912 his attempts were unsuccessful. He dies in desperation after walking, the hotel grounds despondently, mentally exhausted from time travel and brokenhearted.

Somewhere in time has a perfect actress and actors even though the movie is not blockbuster. The story ends with richard dies but it has a happy ending that makes me happy because they both reincarnated and met again.  This film tell us that because of romance you are willing to sacrifice your self even though there is a risk that present time may destroyed. I like this movie and i recommend this movie for the people who is fascinated by the story of reincarnation.
