You grasp the small pendant on the necklace wrapped loosely around your neck as you walk cautiously on the leaf covered path through the autumn trees. It was mid-afternoon, and the sun was shining through the trees, creating golden shafts of light that landed on the dead leaves below. A small oak wood fence lined the dirt trail that you walked on. The wind picked up as you approached your destination. A medium sized cottage stood at the end of the road, with steam coming out of its brick chimney. You released your grip on the necklace as you came closer to the mysterious cottage.

Mist drifted slowly through the massive valley, weaving through the dark pine trees that covered the land in a blanket of dark green. The sky was a dark gray, with bright flashes of lightning that illuminated the surrounding area. Snow tipped mountains stood tall in the distance, looming over the valley, making it seem small compared to the shear size of the rugged mounds of stone. A large waterfall flowed down the side of one of the mountains, roaring in the distance.

The sounds of war drums roared in your ears as you looked around you in panic. Being separated from your troops and pushed into the middle of the battle field wasn't a very good situation to be in. The heavy armor weighed down on your small shoulders, making it hard to even stand. To your right, an army with long pointed spears angled forward charged at you, shouting war cries. To your left, beasts with massive horns, tails, and wings all roared mightily, some even breathing fire. Shaking in fear, you couldn't move. Suddenly, you feel yourself being picked up by a large winged creature. Opening your eyes for a split second, you see the ground beneath you getting further away from you by the second. You tried to scream, but your throat would not allow it. You looked up at the creature that was holding you captive, and gasped in shock. A large red and white bird met your frighted gaze with a determined look. It seemed to say, "It's alright. You are safe with me." Relaxing a bit, you looked at where the bird was taking you. Seeing nothing but clouds, you decided to look below you. Bad mistake. A sea of crimson erupted from the earth below. The battle of beast and man was beginning, and it would not end until either side eradicated the other.
