It started out like any other day for Goku, well, one that was peaceful, that is. But the funny thing was, which many people were never aware of, even Goku himself, is that the biggest days of your life tend to start out normal, and Goku had not a clue of what awaited him, would indeed change him in more ways than one.
Goku took advantage of the current reprieve from any threats upon Earth, of course, he wasn't being totally negligent, and had continued his training as usual. However, for now, he'd taken a small break that afternoon in the fields that he normally did his training in.
He lay face up, on Nimbus, with his eyes shut as he relaxed and enjoyed the welcoming afternoon breeze and warm sun, the yellow cloud making its usual tutting noises as it slowly hovered along the ground at a slow, leisurely pace.
"Ah, nothing like a little respite from all that training, hmm, I should probably get some food soon though." He huffed as he ran his hand over his stomach, it felt like forever ago since he had breakfast.
But before he could even think further on what he planned to eat, Nimbus had suddenly halted its movement, at the same time that Goku felt the presence of an unrecognizable, high power level, manifesting right out of the blue, right next to him, rather. "Huh?" He let out in utter confusion. How was it that something with such a large power level just randomly materialize out of nowhere?
The sudden close proximity of it was enough to cause for concern, prompting Goku to immediately open his eyes, ready for whoever it may be trying to ambush him.
But the moment he opened his eyes, it was like he was staring into a mirror, for as the minute he looked upwards, he was greeted with someone who looked exactly like him, with the addition of a cheek scar and red headband adorned on his forehead as he blocked out the rays of sun, casting a shadow over Goku. And man, did this guy look pissed.
Goku let out a loud gasp as he half jumped, half stumbled off of Nimbus, falling onto his ass at first but quickly recovering, leaping onto his feet and stood posed in a defensive stance, "Who the hell are you?" He demanded immediately of the stranger, who hadn't made a single move yet, only glancing down at Nimbus, quirking an eyebrow at the floating, yellow cloud before nudging it aside roughly with his boot.
"Hey-!" Goku protested the ill treatment, his irritation amping up, "Look! I don't know who you are and what you're looking for but, if you're looking to cause trouble, I suggest you beat it before I get really mad." Goku threatened, however the man that stood before him only grinned.
Goku blinked in confusion before his face turned back up into a scowl, "What's so funny?"
"You've really grown up, Kakarot," he crossed his arms over his broad chest and wore a smug look across his face, "You're quite the looker now, but that's not surprising, you're a chip off the old block, aren't ya?" He bit his lip, his tail uncurled from his waist and swished behind him at the sight of his grown son.
Goku was still completely lost as to what this guy was even talking about, but when he uttered his Saiyan name, alarm bells went off, just as he finally took in the stranger's full appearance. He didn't know why he hadn't noticed right away, considering how blatantly obvious it was now. The man was decked out in a variant of Saiyan armor and not to mention the long, dark brown tail that trailed behind him. Goku clenched his jaw. Not again.
He hadn't met any other Saiyans since Vegeta and Nappa had first come to Earth, and as far as he or Vegeta knew, there wasn't any other surviving ones besides Vegeta's brother, Tarble, so for another one to just randomly show up, unannounced and without any trace of a space pod or anything within the vicinity, struck Goku as bizarre.
"Okay, out with it!" He was growing tired of the sense of confusion he felt, "Who are you? And where did you come from? You're a Saiyan I know that much, but state your business or I'll have no choice but to fight you!"
