"Why the hell does it take you three years to get dressed. We are literally going out to go on a trail ride." CJ yelled into the bathroom as I finished putting on my lipgloss. I had on some riding tights and a schooling shirt.

"Because I want to look good. Do you have a problem with that moody pants?" I said snickering.

"You're a pain in the ass some days," CJ said chuckling as she turned to go downstairs. "Besides who are you trying to Impress?" She asked again and I shook my head blushing.

"Nobody Carm" She stuck out her tongue.

"Stop calling me that you're just as bad as Sam," She said, rolling her eyes as we made our way out of the house and down to the stables. We saddled up the horses quickly and quietly as they fidgeted. You could hear their tails hit their flanks hitting the flies. I had saddled up one of the lesson horses who wasn't getting worked that day and waited for CJ to finish up. We mounted up and made our way out to the trails.

"So you wanna talk about it?" I asked

She shook her head  "No"

"Whenever you're ready..." I sighed, turning back to push a low-hanging branch away from my face.

"I just don't understand who would do something like that. Do you think it's Sam playing some sort of sick joke on me?" She asked a scowl planted on her face

"Not at all. Didn't you say he was going to come out to help you?" I said steering the horse away from the edge of the trail.

"And leave his precious academy behind? I don't think so."

I smiled "Maybe he'll have a change of heart," I said blushing lightly.

"He's gay if you hadn't noticed based on... Oh, I could go on forever." She said letting out a light chuckle.

"Way to crush your friend's spirit." I huffed, hearing CJ snicker.

"Keep moving you lazy bum," I let out a laugh as CJ yelled at Coffee for going to eat a few flowers.

"Oi! Don't do that, you idiot! For being wild you sure are as stupid as a born domestic horse." I couldn't stop giggling as CJ continued to throw insults at coffee, before long coffee threw up his head and stomped in a half-hearted rage.

"Oh yes, you're so scary." The freckled girl rolled her eyes, pushing him forward to catch up with us. As we neared the stable there was a trailer in the driveway, with a huge sticker reading "Phoenix Riding Academy" On the side and the stable's logo.

"HEY GIRLS!" An energetic blonde girl waved them down rather enthusiastically, the black horse standing next to her tosses his head happily.

"You're kidding" I heard CJ say. I rolled my eyes half-heartedly agreeing with her as I saw a pony and a reasonably sized grey yearling next to them being held by Sam.

"of course," CJ said.

"I was right! he does care about you!"
