"I can't believe this is finally happening!" I squealed holding my best friend's hand. We were both standing outside our dorm room, "I have been waiting to go to college since forever! The parties, the dorms, the freedom; oh my gosh it's going to be amazing!"
"Yea I know! It's going to be the best four years of our lives. I can just feel it Sammy!" Lena replied.
I stared at the door to our room. Room 214, the room we'll be spending the next four years in; studying, staying up late, and gossiping. It's going to be like a never ending sleepover.
I opened the door and took in the scene. The walls were painted a light blue with tiny clouds painted on the ceiling. There was two desks, a huge closet, and a bunk bed.
"I'm getting the bottom bed!" shouted Lena running towards the bed and claiming it with her luggage.
"Alright, Lena. We all know you're scared of heights." I said with a smile climbing up the ladder to the top bed.
"Yep. You know it. I hate anything that has to do with heights, or needles, or bugs, or the dark or..." Lena rambled on.
"Yea. I get it. Aren't you just one brave little girl." I said sarcastically.
"Hey! In my defense, you're scared of bugs too!" She said childishly while chucking a pillow at my head.
"Ow! I'm gonna get you, right after I figure out what this thing is for. Why is it loose?" I wondered out loud.
"Oh! Wait. Don't shake it. It's the rail-" Lena started to say.
"WOAHH!!" I screamed as the ground came colliding with my face.
I lay on the ground my whole body pancaked after colliding with the floor.
"Damn. That freaking hurt. Ow. First day at college and I end up injuring myself. Great." I grumbled getting up from the ground.
Lena stared at me and then started bursting out in laughter.
"Hey! It wasn't that funny!" I said glaring at her.
"Oh yes it was! You were like 'huh?' and then all of a sudden it was like BOOM! and you were on the ground! HAaahaaahaa!" She replied in between laughs.
"Okie dokey. Glad you enjoyed that show." I told her sitting on the floor.
"So what do you want to do?" She asked me after she was finished laughing.
"I don't know. You pick."
"Let's go to the pool! Great way to meet some hot guys and explore the campus. So grab your bikini!" Lena squealed.
"Ugh! It's to early in the morning and you know I can't swim." I told her refusing to get up from the floor.
"Please please please just come with me. You don't even need to go into the water. Pretty pretty please." She begged. Now she was on her knees giving me the puppy dog face.
"Fine!" I groaned and gave in.
"Yay!" She cheered.
After we finished dressing we left the building in search for the pool.
"I can't believe how many trees there are. It's weird." I told her looking around the campus.
"I can't believe how many hot guys there are! Oh my god, did you just see that blonde? To die for!!" She squealed clutching my arm and staring at more guys.
"I swear, you have an addiction or something to guys." I told her laughing along.
"Oh there's the pool! Let's go." She said and pulled my arm dragging me with her.
"I'm gonna go get a smoothie. " I told her heading off for the juice bar.
"Of course. Only you would head to the place where there's food!" She said rolling her eyes.
I walked off to the juice bar and order to strawberry banana smoothies.
"Well, well , well. Look who it is."
I turned around to see who was behind me. And guess what? I wish I had never turned around.
"Hi Mandy. " I grunted in response.
Mandy was blonde, popular, rich, and evil. The fakest person I have ever met and she tried so hard to make my high school life miserable, but I didn't care because I always got even. Now she was at the same college as me! Will this nightmare ever end?!
"Are you still trying to act like a monkey? After that play I would've thought you would've quit acting." She replied in her snotty tone with her posse right behind her.
"Yea. Monkey." Blondie #1 said.
"Oh my gosh. Just give it up already Mandy. We're not in high school anymore. Get over yourself." I told her. I grabbed my smoothies and left. Leaving the drama and the stupidity of the situatuon behind, or so I thought.
All of a sudden I was being pushed in the pool bumping my head on the railing while going down. Overwhelmed by the water swarming it's way into my body and then I blanked out.
