Prologue2056

"Alright mom, I'm going back up the hill." "Okay, bring the stick." They walked out the door and followed the dirt road until the turn they had to make to get up to their "Picnic spot." They waved at their dad driving in on the path that leads to the house. They finally arrived. It's the peak of a small hill leading to the mountains. There is a tree with a few apples on it and a bird's nest. They liked to collect rocks standing around and make a statue, or a circle. Standing beside them was a strawberry bush that they loved to pick them off and make smoothies with them. Surprisingly, the picnic blanket is still there. Dirty of course, they dusted it off, then sat down and absorbed the beauty of the landscape. They would do this every day after school. Sometimes she even came and drew up here or planted flowers.

They walked towards the tree but tripped on a rock. They fell with a loud clunk. What even was that? They investigated further and it turned out to be something bigger than just a chunk of rock. Something couldn't comprehend. It was some sort of skeleton. They sprinted back home faster than they've ever ran. They were terrified, they couldn't bear to imagine what had happened on that hill she called peaceful.

They busted through the door and screamed "Mom!" "What!? What happened?!" She asked while still startled by the scene. "There's a skeleton on the hill!" They screamed practically crying. Their mom understood. This wasn't the first time seeing a skeleton. Their dog had died and they buried them out back in their garden. They got a new one and he dug it out and brought it to them. They were both traumatized. The mom hugged them and said in a soft tone, "Hey hey now, it's alright, I'll come over and look at it. It will all be okay." "Maybe your dad can help dig it out and Identify it or something." Why would I want that?

The next day all 3 of them went out to the place at the hill. Their dad looked perplexed. "Well, the good thing is it's not human." He stated. "What do you mean?" The daughter asked. He held it up. All three of the family had their wide jaws open because they had three eye sockets.

As he continued digging he found a skeleton missing an arm, but it had been replaced with a metal arm. He also discovered a core the size of his hand that had an unpowered light, a tube that had a glowing, flaring, light that looked similar to a star, and half of a ship. They were speechless. He could make millions. But it isn't about money. It's not about fame. It's about the fact that we aren't alone "This is... Incredible." "It can't be fake. There is technology here to prove it." The family walked back to the house and immediately started working. They have proof that we aren't alone. They have proved that they aren't lying. "The carbon dating on this says that the alien is over millions of years old. It's amazing how the metal and bone haven't deteriorated. The phone rang and the dad answered. "Hello?" He said, still in shock. "This is Agent Lochren we work with the government, we will be at your location in 3 minutes, do not move your location." The man hung up the phone before he could acknowledge that he heard. The number and call then disappeared off of his phone history. He then wondered if the government already knew about this.

The family heard a knock on the door. The father opened the door and 2 men with fine suits and sunglasses were at the door. There were many cars and helicopters around the house. agents immediately got off and searching in teams, securing the area. "So this isn't the first time this has happened right?" The father said suspiciously. The men didn't respond. "We need to examine the fossils. Frankly, you don't have a choice. We aren't going to be secretive though. Those damn movies already made a reputation for us. There has only been one other 'Alien' fossil. It wasn't the same as this one though. But it also has three eyes." The family was still speechless. This was a lot of information to take in. "So you guys know don't more than us?" The father asked. The agents nodded. The father sighed and began to plan and help them. "Okay so, I can explain to you guys the dating, genetics, technology, and all that to your team and help with research. This is crazy." He muttered.
