Ch. 8 "Protective"

"He came to me, asking me to go back out in the field, to do something," I said looking up at him through my eyelashes, since he is taller than me,

"What did he say?" He asked looking at me worried,

"Can we not talk about this?" I said as I rested my head on his chest,

"Princess?" He said

I looked up at him,

I sighed knowing he wasn't going to drop this,

"He wanted me to take out Eric once and for all, he wanted me to do it, but I don't think I can, even though the man may deserve it a hundred times over, I don't think I can," I whispered as I still had my head on his chest,

"What did you tell him?" He asked worried pulling me away from him gently

"That, that's not me anymore, that the other night was a one time thing," I said

He nodded,

But he did not look happy, in fact he looked pissed, sure Pietro is a loving, and joking guy, but he can get pissed, I've seen it, we did have our little quarrels especially when we first left, But I still love him none the less,

But word of warning look out when he's pissed,

"I am proud of you princess," He said kissing my lips deeply,

He gently took the bow out of my hand setting it on the rack next to us as he kissed me passionately,

He picked me up and that fast we were in our room,

He laid me on the bed, my fingers ran through his hair, just as things were getting heated,

"Sorry to interrupt Mr Maximoff but Fury requests your presence," FRIDAY said

We both groaned,

"I'll be back princess," He said kissing me roughly, and that quick he was gone,

Pietro POV

I was now in the main room where the avenger and Fury were waiting,

"Nice of you to join us," Fury said

I glared at him as I stood next to my sister,

"You got something to say?" Fury said

"Yes in a matter of fact I do," I said everyone looked at me, not recognizing the anger I had towards the man,

"So tell me Director Fury, when were you going to tell everyone that you tried to get Hayden, my fiancé to kill Eric, to go and end this," I said making quotations with my fingers,

"What?" Clint said angry,

Both the super soldiers looked not so happy,

Wanda looked at me then at Fury,

"Is that true?" Wanda said

"She's the only one who knows how to do what needs to be done," Fury said

"Are you insane!?" Bucky said

"No I'm practical, she could end all of this," Fury said

"Or you could end up breaking her further, do you realize how far she's come over the past five years, you could undo that in a matter of seconds if she would have told you yes," I said angry,

Wanda placed her hand on my shoulder,

He didn't say anything, but just glared,

"But she didn't," He said

"But she's still considering it, I can see it in her eyes!" I said

"You did this! we came back to save our family, our friends, your team and this is how you thank her!?" I said

"That is why I asked her, I seen what she did," He said

"You are asking her to do something so horrible after she's made piece with what's happened," I said glaring at him,

All the avengers are glaring at him,

"You are seriously messed up," Tony said

"I can't believe you," Clint said angry,

"Would you guys stop I didn't do it alright," I hear Hayden's voice

All of our heads turn in her direction,

She didn't look angry, she just looked emotionally tired,

"How do we know your not going to," Bucky said

"Look, I'm not like that anymore, I wouldn't risk it, alright, sure I did consider it for a split second, but.." She said then looked at me,

"Then I realized I could risk it," She said

I smiled taking her hand,

"Well I'll be damned," Tony said

"Tony" Steve said

"Yeah, Yeah, Yeah," Tony said waving his hand,

I looked at Hayden and she smiled at me, and I couldn't help but return it,
