as a Muslim I want to speak up what's happening in Palestine right now. If you're Muslim please read this, share and pray for our fellow muslims in Palestine and if you are not, kindly spread the awareness after reading this. This will be a bit long.
The information I wrote down here are all from Instagram and Twitter posts. Because there are NO PUBLIC MEDIA who reported about this.
- The night of 25th Ramadhan (Friday, May 7th), Al-Aqsa Mosque was attacked. The Muslims were praying at the yards and prayer halls of Al-aqsa mosque when suddenly dozens of Israeli forces stormed into the holy place abruptly. They fired rubber bullet, stun grenades, tear-gas canisters at the DEFENCELESS people, who are praying.
- Children were also present in the place.
- Hundreds of Palestinian were locked inside prayer halls and surrounded by the Israeli forces from the outside. All of sudden, they attacked them inside. A clinic at Al-aqsa mosque was attacked. They threw stun and gas canisters inside where the casualities were receiving medical care.
- This aggression resulted in over 200 injuries, most were in the head, face or eyes.
And now, the issue in Sheikh Jarrah.
I'm sure most of you know Palestine is Palestine, not Israel.
But right now, the Palestinians families have been facing eviction from their homes in the Sheikh Jarrah district to make way for Israeli settlements. The court also ruled for each families to pay $20,000 to cover the settlers' legal expenses. These Palestinians people have been living in these homes since 1956.
Imagine someone suddenly barging into your house, claiming it's theirs? Isn't that absurd?
Over the past couple of weeks the situation in Sheikh Jarrah has become worse. Right-wing zionists have marched the streets chanting 'Death to Arabs'. They also have raided homes and physically assaulted women and children.
They've been actively taking part in the ethnic cleansing of Palestine. Their plan has been dispossessed Palestinians of their homes to take over Jerusalem by making way for new Israeli-Jewish settlers.
(note: not all jews support israel and their actions. please don't get it wrong okay?😊)
