Goodbye

The Start

What makes life worth living? Is it that you have loved ones or that you want to have more experience? What is stopping you from jumping off or taking something so you can just leave? Nothings stopping you but would you and would you regret it?

It was a sunny day and everything was going fine. The day was a beautiful sunny day and Adam was on his porch at his mothers house. He was in his late teens and he lived with his mom and he loved her very much. His mom had a health problem and that is one reason why he still lived with her. She had a high blood pressure which could give her a heart attack or a stroke.

That ment if she got stressed out then she could have a chance of a heart attack or a stroke. Adam was the one that was making the money for him and his mom. It was stressful for Adam but if it was for his mom then he would do it. He worked at Target which he hated but he still worked there for the money. He loved his mom and never wanted to see her get hurt and he would do almost anything for her.

After he finished his morning cup of coffee he went back inside and put it into the dishwasher. He then walked into his mother's bedroom to kiss her on her cheek and then walked outside to go into his car. He started up the car and then started his drive to his work. As he drove he thought about how he was going to get some money that he owed to a friend that was mad that he had not paid him back.

He was not going to steal but at the same time he wanted to steal something so he could pay off his friend. He thought about going to get another job but he could not leave his mom all day long. His mom did not have a lot of money because she worked as a teacher for many years and teachers do not make a lot of money. He could get a loan but the bank that was near his house was a bad bank and would overcharge your tax for loans.

He did not know what to do. He loved his mom and he wanted to make sure that they had money but his job didn't pay a lot of money. He thought that he could talk to his brother about getting some money from him but he hated him and his mom for no reason. As a kid his brother wanted everything his way and if he didn't like whatever it was he would throw a fit and be very disrespectful. Like one time he got mad because he vandalized the inside of a church bathroom and he was crowned. He was mad and so when he got home he kicked a lot of his mom's stuff and slammed the dishes inside where they were kept.

He took a knife and threw it on the ground and it bounced and didn't hit anyone but you could tell he was mad. He also was called fat one time and so he took a stick and tried to kill the kid but his brother stopped him. In the neighborhood none of the kids liked him and Adam even didn't like him alot. Adam always thought how much of a brat he was and how he needed to be punished but his mom hardly did anything. The brother hated his mom and when he moved out cut all connections with her and that hurt his mom very much.

His mom loves her son even through all that had happened and losing a child that she loved very much was heartbreaking for her. Adam also was very sad because he thought that they had a good childhood but his brother hated all of them with all his soul and with all of his mind. Adam loved his brother very much and it was hard for him not being able to see him. Last he heard of him is that he went to jail for assault and was still in there for all he knew.

So he could not ask for money from his brother and not from the bank so who was he going to get the money from? That was the question that he asked himself as he was going to work. He thought over and over but he could not think of anything that came to his mind. He wanted to help but there was very little that he could do but he still could work at Target.

When he got to his work he went into the place and went into the staff room and got into his Target uniform and went out to start his work day. He checked out what the person wanted to buy and he did that from 8 to 8 and when he finished his day he was very tired and wanted to go home. When he finished the boss told him good work and he went home and the rest. He drove past the mini mall that was right next to where he worked. He was tired but happy that he got to work some extra hours so he could make more money for his mom.

He turned off the radio and changed the stations until he heard a song that he very much enjoyed. When the song ended he turned the radio off and went parked his car in the driveway and took a deep breath before going into the house but he never made it. Before he got onto the porch the house exploded and it went up into flames. Adam just stood there shocked that his house had exploded and then when he came back to his senses he ran inside the house.

The flames licked at his skin and it hurt him but he needed to find his mom. He ran up the stairs while the house was falling apart from the flames. He went to his mom's room and tried to open the door but he burnt his hand on the hot doorknob. He used his body to open the door with force but when he opened the door he saw what he didn't want to see. His mom was in her bed but it was on fire and she had already died from something falling on her.

He was about to go back but the door was blocked off by a wooden plank that had just fallen so he looked at the window and jumped out. He jumped out of a second story building but there was a bush that helped him break his fall. He saw some fire trucks park in front of his house and he realized that this was not a dream. He got on his knees and cried and cried until the cops had to ask him what happened and even then he still cried.

He was broken at this point. He had a face that looked like you just saw someone day or wanted to kill themselves. His eyes were crazed like a mad man but he still looked sad and a look that life is not living.
