Wayhaught's first date

First Date Pt 1

It's been 3 days since Waverly and Nicole interacted however, that doesn't mean they wasn't constantly thinking about each other. Waverly was afraid to text Nicole first in the fear the other girl didn't feel the same, however, quickly realised that Nicole had given Waverly her card for a reason and once she realised this, she grabbed her phone to text the older woman.

Waverly: "Hello, it's Waverly, I don't know if you remember me, but I am the girl from the park, I thought I would text you so you had my number :)"
*Less than 30 seconds later*

Nicole: "Hey Waverly, of course I remember you, it took you long enough to text me lol ;)"

*Waverly smiled at the sarcastic comment*

Waverly " So, are you still up for that coffee? Let's say in 30 minutes?"

Nicole" Ugh I'm so sorry, but I am at work until 6, how about I take you out tonight? Let's say 7pm?"

*Waverly was a little disappointed that she would have to wait so long to see Nicole again but she understood"

Waverly: "7pm sounds great, it's a date, I'll text you my address"

Later that evening

Nicole has just got off work when she realised she only has an hour before she needs to pick Waverly up, she quickly gets home within 10 minutes before she jumps straight into the shower, once she has finished she decides on what she should wear, Nicole has spent all day thinking about where she is going to take Waverly, she couldn't just take the girl to coffee, she had to think outside the box, the box being purgatory with limited options to choose from. She decides to take Waverly on a picnic near the mountains, it was summer, it was getting dark later so they should make it just before sunset. Nicole knew it would get cold so she decided on black skinny jeans, a long sleeve button up shirt and a black jacket to keep her warm, she also decided to pack an extra hoodie in her car in case Waverly was cold at any point during the evening.

Once she was ready she looked at the clock, it was 6:40pm, it would take 15 minutes to get to Waverly's, and with that she grabbed her keys and wallet and headed for the door.

Whilst Nicole was ready, Waverly had a hard time deciding on what she was going to wear, she had no idea where Nicole was taking her or what Nicole was wearing, Waverly decided on a 2 piece matching set. She quickly got changed and brushed her hair when she heard a knock at the door.

She quickly ran down the stairs and opened the door to see Nicole standing there with flowers in her hand. Waverly was so happy her sister Wynonna was not home to see her blush so much, as she knew she would be teased about that later.

Nicole: " woah you look so beautiful"
Waverly " Thankyou, so do you, you look incredible"
Nicole and Waverly fall silent and just admire eachother until Nicole starts to speak....
" you ready to go?"

They get into the car and on the way to the destination, the conversation flows nicely, there's some silent in areas but it was never awkward. They always found something to talk about.

Waverly: "so where are we going exactly?"
Nicole: " you will have to wait and see"

About a 20 minute drive later they arrived, Nicole got out and opened the door for Waverly, she then went round to the trunk of the car and grabbed the blanket, the food she prepared earlier and her extra hoodie just in case Waverly needed it, she then shut the trunk and walked Waverly over to the spot that overlooked the whole of the town.

Waverly was shocked at how much effort Nicole had put in, which instantly gave her butterflies. Waverly suddenly became nervous, she had never been on a date before and didn't want to mess this up.
