The old man leaned over the unconscious ghost. Choppy black hair, pale skin, a black gakuran. If he were alive, the boy would have been about 14.
If he were alive . . .
Stretching out an arm, the man held the watch out and above the ghost. Slowly, he sent the magic through the boy. The man watched the ghost slowly change, as his own power grew.
No more leader, no more restraints for him. That was the man's idea. If you're wearing chains and take them off, they can just be put back on. But if you kill the blacksmith, no more chains.
"Goodbye, No. 7," The man whispered.
The boy's body finished solidifying.
