There have been three acts. When I return to the group, it will be the beginning of Act 4.
Some information in these Acts are slightly inaccurate to what EXACTLY happened in the roleplay, however, I'm rewriting the older acts to make for a more coherent story.
Act 1: This is the first Act. In this Act, I was deciding what exactly I wanted to do with the group. I had a semblance of an idea, but mostly I just wanted to roleplay and see what happened. In this Act, the comments and questions of other people's characters influenced my world-building. When I first created the group, there were no answers, but a lot of questions. I can't handle plot-holes, so of course, for every question that was asked, I needed to make an answer.
During this Act, Jessica, my character, was the only one who knew all the answers. My other characters were just as dumbfounded as everyone else's characters. Until my character, Atlas, began to recall memories from universes where he fought in wars against the mysterious demon king who wanted to destroy the entire multiverse. Near the end of Act 1, Jessica left to take care of "business". Her business was never revealed in world, but I'll explain it to anyone who decides to read this. It's not relevant until Act 2, though. Jessica went to Magia to gain godhood. She was previously a killshifter. She gained godhood from a goddess named Cassi.
Cassi was a goddess of justice and also the last deity left in Magia, perhaps the entire multiverse, that was powerful enough to fight with the demon king. However, she knew she could not defeat TDK as herself, so she split herself to send a distraction to fight the demon king. When she split herself apart, she had fallen in love with a pixie named Miena, who also happened to be the demon king's wife. Miena was pregnant with the demon king's child, but feared that the child wouldn't have a good childhood, so she gave her child to Cassi.
When Cassi and Jessica met, Cassi gave Jessica three angels; Fidorius, Leontius, and Celestius. Cassi kept the rest of her angels with her to fight with the demon king, but she knew her efforts were futile. The angels that Cassi gave to Jessica were as follows: an angel made specifically to serve Jessica, Cassi's favorite angel, and Cassi's most powerful angel. Cassi also gave Jessica all the remaining god power in Magia, including her own, knowing that Magia was doomed and hoping that perhaps, somehow, the rest of the multiverse could be saved. She also gave Miena's child to Jessica, since Cassi was soon to die. This child was named Regina, the name that Miena had given her. Cassi had erased all of Miena's memories of the child and of Cassi so that the demon king wouldn't see anything in her mind from mind-reading.
Jessica did not return until the beginning of Act 2. In this time, a demon-plant-cat-boy named Kalvin took over Jessica's hotel. The hotel was where most characters congregated. It had beds, running water, and electricity, so of course, everyone was drawn to it. Jessica had officially given her keys over to Ace, a character roleplayed by someone who left the group, but Kalvin usurped her. He had apparently been living off of mice and photosynthesis in the attic of the hotel, but pounced on the opportunity when Jessica left. He took over and demanded everyone pay him in fish.
During this time, Tangerine, another one of my characters, entered the world. He had as many answers as Jessica, but freely shared them with anyone who asked. Why were all these random people here? What was this place?
Midpoint. A place that somehow existed nowhere and everywhere, between all of the universes. It was a phenomenon that shouldn't exist, and he didn't know why it existed or how, but he did know that it was his only chance at creating an army to stop the demon king.
Everyone here was a refugee from a world long-destroyed by the demon king, who was devouring entire universes, although somehow he was missing a few people, items, and places. According to Tangerine's calculations, that was entirely impossible, but he was grateful for it, because it provided an opportunity to build an army against the demon king.
However... the citizens of Midpoint were incredibly disappointing. Jacksepticeye with a magical arm, Glory; a dragon queen, a handful of demons, and a couple of Hargreeves from the Umbrella Academy were the only people who actually listened to Tangerine about his insane rants over the end of the world. And none of those people were actually interested in helping. What chance could they possibly have against a demon king who had destroyed the entire multiverse? And what was the point anyway, if their worlds were already gone?
At this point, Tangerine was rather desperate. It was then that he explained that Atlas was a cyborg that Tangerine had programmed. A dragon with the mind of a machine. Tangerine recoded Atlas to help convince the others to join the army. This had very little effect.
Meanwhile, Kalvin had befriended several demon-hybrids, Mae and Hayley. Well, it was more like Mae became incredibly irrationally attached to Kalvin for no reason and Kalvin tried to push her away but she wouldn't listen. After a while, Kalvin actually grew attached to the pair and started to care about them. During this time, his flowers started to bloom.
Kalvin's flowers had psychedelic and hallucinogenic properties that allowed creatures to travel worlds with their minds. Klaus Hargreeves and Mae were the first to randomly eat Kalvin's flowers, which was extremely awkward to Kalvin. The flowers allowed them to travel across time and space to contact a dead goddess, Nevermore, who explained the situation with the demon king further. They had a variety of other visions, some pleasant, and some nightmarish.
Later, Mae, Klaus, and Five tried the flowers again. This time, they went far deeper than the first time and awoken a deity named Fate. She was literally the Multiverse's imagination. Fate was strange, chaotic, and a mental-wreck, as well as immensely destructive. She took the opportunity to torture her visitors and revealed the demon king's true name, Kakxyl. She also referred to Kakxyl as her big brother, though she was infinitely older and not really related to him. Fate was quite a deranged lunatic, bent only on destroying things and making people suffer. She wanted to help Kakxyl because she wanted to see everyone suffer.
After Fate awoke, she joined the fight on Kakxyl's side. However, Cassi caught on and stripped her of her power and yeeted her, mortal, into Midpoint. She tried to force everyone to obey and worship her, to minimal success. When Jessica returned from Magia, Jessica easily overpowered Fate with her newfound god-powers and kicked her out of the hotel.
End Act One.
