Chapter 37: A familiar sight

"I do not! It's just that it tastes so good!" She answered.

"See? I'm already done," She adds.

"Are you in a rush?" I asked her.

She usually enjoys her food. Savoring each bite she swallows.

"We still have another destination to go to," She answers me.

"Let's go then!" I said, and stood up.

"Your ice cream's not finished yet. I don't like you to waste food," She says.

"I'm full," I answered.

She took my ice cream and scooped from it, and took bites.

"I already ate from that," I said, making her look at me in the eyes before saying, "It's still ice cream. You eating it doesn't make it any different."

"I'm offended," I answered her.

"Tell me, did this ice cream turn to gold when you ate it?" She asks.

"I get your point, I'm just... Nevermind," I answered and stood up, leaving the shop.

Why am I acting like her angry girlfriend?

"Minatozaki, wait up!" I heard her call me, making me walk faster.

I should stop. Why am I upset with her opinion.

I'm not like this.

But she's just so annoying.

I mean, she's not annoying at all times, but now is different.

"Sana! There's a-" I heard her from behind me, but she didn't finish when a pair of arms were wrapped around my waist, pulling me away from the road as a fast car approached.

I didn't notice it because I was thinking about her too much?

"Why would you do that?" She asked, looking straight to my eyes.

Is she worried?

"I'm fine, Dahyun. U-Uh, you c-can let go of me now," I answered, noticing that she was still holding me.

"I can't, after you almost got hurt. Not anymore," She silently said, making me smile.

"You care about me that much?" I asked in a teasing manner, making her sigh.

"I'm sorry about what I said earlier. I mean, you obviously knew that I was joking, right?" She apologized then asked.

"Yes, I knew you were. But you're a bad joker, Dahyun," I said.

"Point taken," She responded, making the two of us chuckle.

We suddenly looked at each other's eyes.

I realized something.

Her eyes looked like a familiar sight.

Staring at them somehow made me feel at home.

"Let's take you home?" She suddenly asks me.

"We're going somewhere else, right?" I asked, too.

"About that, I need to get you home  first," She answered.

We then went in her car, and headed to my house.

"Pack your things for a day," She instructed, making me give her a confused look.

"What for?" I asked her.

"I'm kidnapping you for a day. I asked your parents already," She just answered and looked outside. 

I went in the house to pack my things.

Why did she tell me just now?

I don't even know which kinds of clothes I need to bring.

And how did she get the actual confidence to ask my parents?

"Sana, don't let Dahyun wait for too long," Mom said, bringing me back to my senses, then quickly packed.

Overall, I brought two full bags filled with my clothes, and other necessities.

I then went out of the house and went in Dahyun's car as she helped me put my things at the back.

"I told you to bring your things for the day. It's not like you're moving in with me," She said before laughing.

She's still outside, talking to my parents. I couldn't eavesdrop because the, I might get noticed.

And after a few minutes of waiting, she finally went in the car.

"Where are we even going?" I asked.

"It's going to be a long ride. Take a rest first," She answered.

"How about you?" I asked again.

"I'll be fine, I'm used to silence already," She answers and then started to drive.

Not so long after our trip started, I started to feel drowsy.

"Sleep, Sana. I know you're tired," She says, as if she was reading my mind.

"I am not tired! Look, I'll just close my eyes, and open them after a few minutes," I responded then closed my eyes.

"You're still a kid aren't you?" She asked, then chuckled.

I still am not used with Kim Dahyun laughing. It's so cute.

"So, you've fallen for me already," I jokingly said as I lost my senses.

I opened my eyes to see that the moon was up, and Dahyun's face was near mine.

What?

"You're awake, we're here," She said and quickly went out of the car to open the car door on my side.

I looked around the area, it looks familiar.

Why are we here, though?
