Rainy Days Chapter 1:Hello

Tokoyami's POV:

Great, I forgot my umbrella, again… It's only been a few minutes and I'm already covered in water. Even though it's the middle of the day, it's almost completely dark with all the gray clouds in the sky. Sure, I like the dark but not when I'm soaking in rain. *sits down on a nearby bench* Mom and dad won't be home for a while, although I doubt they'll want to see me, and I don't have my key, of course, just my luck. *a few minutes later* Hmmm? What was that sound? "Kero, are you okay?" I notice the rain has stopped falling on me, and when I turn around I see a girl, around my age, holding a frog umbrella over me, it seems to match her frog like features. Wait, say something idiot! 'Uhmmm, th-thanks'

Tsuyu POV:

I love the rain, not just because I'm a frog. The sound of the rain drops hitting the ground is so calming, and the way the water touches my skin, so at home. Not to mention the smell-Who is that? Why is he sitting on a bench in the rain? I should go check on him, make sure he's okay. I walk up behind him and cover him with my umbrella, even though it exposes me to the water, I don't mind. 'Kero, are you okay?' He turns around and I notice he's around my age. "Uhmmm, th-thanks" I smile, he seems sweet.

Tokoyami's POV:

She smiles, it's so warming, and comforting. I usually don't talk much, but, something about this girl seemed so kind, and all my worries seemed to wash away. 'What's your name?' I can't believe I just said that, -She seems nice- I heard Dark Shadows voice from within me, seems he was eavesdropping again. I love him, but he can be really annoying. "I'm Tsuyu Asui, but you can call me Tsu." Tsu? I've only just met this girl and she's already letting me call her a nickname? Although, at the moment I honestly don't mind. -Say your name, idiot- Oh, right. 'I'm Fumikage Tokoyami' I didn't even stutter. "Nice to meet you Tokoyami, what are you doing out here in the rain all alone?" I wanted to answer but, I only just met this girl.

Tsuyu's POV

He seems uncomfortable, I don't want to make him tell me if he doesn't want to… 'You don't have to answer, we can just sit here in silence if you want?' He went quiet for a moment.

Tokoyami's POV

She knows I don't want to answer, and, for a few moments we just sat there in silence. It was calming, and she is still smiling at me, then the rain began to let up. 'The rain is stopping.' "Yeah, *ribbit* are you going to go home?" I wanted to say yes, but that would be a lie, if I said no, she would probably stay...What to do? 'Yeah, I'll be going home in a few minutes now' I think it's better I lied…

Tsuyu's POV

He's lying... I'll stay with him until he goes home *sneeze* oh no, I think I caught a cold while I had my umbrella over him, I don't feel very good...At least Samidare and Satsuki are away with mom and dad…

Tokoyami's POV

She sneezed, I hope I didn't cause her to catch a cold, but she doesn't look too well. 'Are you okay Tsu?' "Y-Yeah, just feeling a little woozy, probably from the rain." So it is my fault… 'I can bring you home if you'd like? Just in case.' I already feel so attached to her, and we've only known each other for an hour or so, I'd hate to see anything happen to her.

Tsuyu POV

Bring me home? I knew he was nice, I'm starting to feel worse… But I don't want to waste his time… 'Don't you have to go home?' "It'll be fine, trust me." 'O-Okay…' *sneezes twice in a row*

Tokoyami POV

'That's it, let's get you home.' *I put her on my back and faintly blush, but she doesn't seem to notice 'So, where do you live?' "Not too far, only 4-5 blocks away, just follow that path on the left that goes through the woods*sneeze*and continue till you get to a lake…" 'Okay' Before I realize it my feet start moving themselves, the warmth of her on my back makes me smile, everything about her is so calming. -Oooooo~- Oh shush, I'm just helping a girl I got sick. -Sure lover boy- Shut up Dark shadow! -Geesh, fine-

Tsuyu's POV

*cough* I'm surprised he put me on his back, he didn't even seem hesitant. I knew I liked him. His feathers look soft, I wonder if I could-*traces fingers through Tokoyami's back feathers*

Tokoyami's POV

Wh-What? She's messing with my feathers *blushes red*It feels, n-nice...Oh, there's the lake. 'Is this it Tsu?' "Yeah, you can put me down now" Oh, right. *Gently places her down* No cars. 'Where are your parents?' "They are on a business trip with my siblings*sneeze*" She's home alone, I can't leave her here sick...I wouldn't feel right about it. "Tsu, do you mind if I stay with you? Just until you feel better, or your parents return. "O-Okay...Will your parents be okay with it?" 'Of course, let me just text my mom, but first, let's bring you to your room' *picks her up bridal style, almost on instinct* Wh-What am I doing?!

Tsuyu's POV

I notice I start to blush but don't really mind at the moment. Wait, he doesn't know where my room even is. 'My room is upstairs, turn left, down that hall, and then it's the 10th door on the left.' "Okay, thanks" 'Mhmmm *sneeze*'
