"Well you should be stabilized now that we know you're awake. I'll be coming in to check on you every 3 hours or so. Try to get some sleep and just rest in general. This fatigue will last a couple of days. Alright?" He mentioned.

"Alright." I yawned.

Both the nurse and doctor left the room together, leaving Blake and I alone again.

I pressed a button which mechanically shifted the upper part of my bed forward.

Blake steadily approached me, his eyes not leaving mine.

"What's sup man?" I asked shifting my body to a more comfortable position.

"What's sup? What's sup?! I'll tell you what's sup...Man everybody thought you were gonna die." He said slightly raising his voice and then whispering at the end.

"We'll I'm not dead." I chuckled.

"It's not funny. Your mom almost had to be admitted into the hospital herself. She never left your side for 5 days. 2 hours ago she got a call from another nurse upstairs that she needed to take."

"Oh yeah? When will she be done work? I wanna see her."

"She told me she was gonna come back at around 6pm, thats when he shift will end. It's 3:15 in the afternoon right now."

"Ah alright." I murmured as the fatigue was beginning to get stronger and stronger.

"So how much did you hear?" Blake asked hesitantly.

"Hmm?" I said, my eyes closed.

"How much did you hear when I was talking to you earlier?"

"Oh. Pretty much all of it. It's all my fault .. It's all my fault." I mocked quietly. "Psh, ha and you actually mentioned the juice box in fucking kindergarten?! Didn't know you cared that much bro." I said looking at him questionably

"Aha .. Well .. Yeah bro. You're my main man. My wingman. You're like a brother to me." He said rubbing the back off his neck, his eyes staring down at the floor.

I patted his shoulder and smiled. "Thanks bro. I know I can always count on you."

He returned the smile and said, "Anytime."

"By the way Blake, where are the others?" I asked.

"Drew and Parker? They've been here for the past 2 days. Yesterday they had to leave cause of exams, but they said they'd visit this evening I think." Blake said.

"Oh yeah? How did your math exam go?"

He snorted. "Psh. Probably failed."

"Nah man don't think like that. Gotta keep your hopes up. Remember the dream."

Blake looked up at me and smiled.

"Go big or go home." He laughed.

"We're gonna go big one day. I swear we need to lay off the drinking though. Maybe even skip the parties and get our act together." I wondered out loud.

"Ha .. And become fucking nerds? I don't think so ... But yeah I get your point. I heard what the doc said about your liver. So I'll be keeping tabs on your drinking habits from now on."

"No drinking from now on bro. Look what it's done to me especially. Lesson learned."

Blake's cell phone rang at that moment. He reached into his front pocket and accepted the call.

"Hello? ... Oh hey .... Yeah he's awake ... Mhhmm ... Yeah ... I know ... Yeah? ... Oh ... Okay ... Where? ... Now? ... I guess ... K ... Bye."

"Lemme guess, you gotta go." I asked.
