The Defeat of the Mabeasts

Regulus: While I do understand that I am perfect and that most people can't help but to look at me, It would probably be more beneficial for you to look behind you.

Subaru: Huh?

As Subaru looked back, he saw one of the wolfgrams about to bite him from behind, but thanks to Regulus's warning he was able to barely dodge the Mabeast.

Subaru: Couldn't you have just said behind you?!

Regulus: It's not my fault you were staring at me for so long, why are you making it sound like it's my fault that you were entranced by my face? Why are you blaming me? You got something against me?

Subaru: For gods sake! This is not the ti- WHOA!

Once again another Mabeast tried to bite Subaru's head off, but he once again managed to duck in the nick of time. 

There was one positive though, the number of Mabeasts have gone down tremendously.

Ram: Huh....You weren't kidding...Despite his awful personality he has some serious power.....

Subaru: Oh good, you're awake again.

Ram: You need to hit Rem's horn....

Subaru: And that will get her back to normal, right?

Ram:....Right....

But another problem arose, Rem was glaring straight at Regulus and she was about to swing her morningstar at him.

But this was a good oppurtunity to turn Rem back to normal.

Subaru put Ram on the ground and he hoped to god that no Mabeast would try and attack her while she layed there.

Subaru ran towards Rem while she was distracted to try and hit her horn with his sword that he got from the village.

But she noticed him before he could use the hilt of his sword to hit her horn.

Subaru: Crap!

She was about to swing her morningstar straight at him, this was the end. He had no possible way of dodging Rem's attack.

But before she got the chance to kill Subaru, she suddenly got hit by some invisible force and she reeled back in suprise.

This was his chance, he raised his sword and hit Rem's horn with the sword's hilt.

There was a loud "Clink" sound and Rem collapsed to the floor.

Subaru quickly picked up the unconcious blue haired maid and put her on his back, he looked towards the direction where Regulus stood.

Now that there weren't any Mabeasts.....For now, he got a good look and saw that everything around Regulus was covered in blood, except for Regulus himself.

He also took note that Ram had managed to get up by herself, she did use less mana then originally after all.

Though there was still a question in Subaru's mind....What was that force that stopped her from killing him?

Regulus: I'm not a person that's greedy, but it would be appreciated to be thanked for saving your pathetic life.

Subaru: (Of course it was him....)

Subaru: Yea, yea. Thanks for the save.....

Subaru really didn't feel like thanking Regulus Corneas at the moment....Actually, he would rather never thank Regulus, like ever.

Regulus: Seriously? Why do you make it sound like it's a drag to simply thank me? Is it really that difficult to simply thank someone? I am well aware that you don't have any manners for whatever reason, which makes it even worse actually! What have you even been doing your whole life? Why do you continue to always act like some sort of animal?
