Chapter two

My pale, frail and injured body was shaking from fear I didn't know what operation would me next.

Or when the torture would stop.... why couldn't I be saved? Was anyone even trying? Was I forgotten?

No, I can't be I just needed an escape....and I found one.

Being thrown out of the memory I noticed Zara waving her hand in front of my face Skye went to touch me but I slapped her hand away from me as fast as I could.

She jumped back alarmed and Lincoln explained I don't like people touching me.

I felt a headache coming on...

"I have to go I have a headache they usually get really bad I'll see you all soon... sorry for my reaction Skye"

As I was about to walk away she called me back

"Your that girl we saw on the field that day do you know your middle name?"

"No I don't think so I think I heard Gordon say it was Li when I was younger and in trouble" I laughed Skye laughed along but I could tell it was fake like something was on her mind

Days went by and Skye was enjoying it here she had found out Jiaying was her mother and I overheard them talking

"Have you ever heard the story of what a woman did in Bahrain" Jiaying told her

"Yeah the cavalry.....May..." I know this story

"The woman went in took out a child she was an inhuman, one of us she took her out with no hesitation me and Gordon knew she was not safe"

"Who was not safe?" Skye asked

"The cavalry's baby so I took her from the house one night at the tender age of one to keep her safe I didn't want her to have to worry about the day her mother would put a bullet in her head"

"You took mays baby? Where is she now?"

"Here at afterlife the baby is an inhuman so that's why I took her, you've met her"

"Nova? You took her do you know how much her mother has been looking she never stopped and she lost the light of her life you should know when you lost me!"

"I didn't want Nova to grow up scared to have to worry she didn't deserve it I did it to protect her all the torture Hydra put her through before we got her back turned her into an assassin"

"So you'll do the right thing and let her go back to her"

"No she can never go back after what HYDRA put her through she doesn't need anyone else hurting her. Nova is perfectly happy here she'll stay here away from her"

I was shocked and hurt Skye knew my mother? Jiaying took me away from her?"

So when Lincoln had been taken me and Zara chose to go with Skye

We all arrived at the place where Skye had told me to drop them off I heard a woman shouting for someone to get on their knees.

"It wasn't him it was us" Skye said walking in

"Skye your back and did you say us?" Coulson said

"Yeah we need to find out friend Lincoln so I brought some friends who are like me to help"

"This is Zara and she has the power of invisibility and the next you will most likely remember her face this is Nova and she has the power of voice healing, voice manipulation of men,woman and animals and teleportation she also has telepathy"

We both walked in and stood behind Skye

"Nova here is trained in all types of combat known to man and is amazing with all Types off weapons"

I didn't trust them so I kept a stoic face as they took in our appearance

"Sorry Nova does not trust easily so she'll most likely give you all death stares but it's innocent" Zara joked

"Right....hello girls so who's this friend" Coulson said and we got to explaining who he was the Coulson guy and the Asian woman who I learnt was named Melinda May kept staring at me not breaking there stares on me.

"We know Lincoln was taken by hydra and since Nova has had history she's going to get us in and give us directions" Zara told them

"Hydra has many floors they keep the experiments cells on the underground floors the experimentation room is the sixth floor Lincoln will most likely be held on the seventh in recovery" I said

"And how should we trust you if you have history with hydra?" A nerdy boy asked

"Because I wasn't a worker I was an experiment I was operated and tortured every day for something I didn't have" I said with a low growl and he backed off. And the others looked sympathetic

"Shall we get going?" Zara asked awkwardly and I noticed May give Simmons a pleading look.

"Yeah but first I need to do your index files so I needs your blood so we can run a DNA breakdown" Simmons told us

"Fine make it quick" I said raising my eyebrows and striding out off the room Zara and Skye following.

"Simmons why can't you do their DNA breakdown when we get back?" Fitz asked

"Cause I'm curious" Simmons said following us

We both took turns getting our blood taken and Simmons began the blood breakdown

Me and Zara heard Skye Coulson and May talking.

"We'll find Lincoln then we'll go back" Skye told them

"Skye that's the girl from the field you guys are friends?" Coulson asked

"Yes quite close actually"

"Do you know anything about her past?" May asked

Skye cleared her throat and looked away

"You do don't you" Coulson said as he crossed his arms

"It's a long story she was tortured for many years by hydra they turned her into a war machine. She's heavily scarred physically and mentally she was taken from her parents"

"So she's dangerous?" May said and Skye lost it

"The same could be said about you I heard the full story of the cavalry even how you shot that poor girl in the head....did you know she was inhuman!"

Mays face was shocked

"She said she took your child that night because she didn't think she was safe with you as she's inhuman and giving what happened Jiaying said she was protecting her as she didn't want Nova to have to worry about the day you put a bullet in her head"

"B-but I would never"

"I know I went angry at Jiaying she said that another person at that place called her full name when she was in trouble her middle name is Li"

Mays face turned pale And Coulson was shocked

"The DNA breakdown will confirm it but all evidence points towards it I'm sorry"

May looked up at her with confusion

"Why are you sorry? Thanks to you I may just have my happiness back" May gave a small smile

Me and Zara shared a look and quickly walked away and as we were all getting ready to leave May and Coulson were giving me even more looks than before

Simmons walked in and handed May a piece of paper Coulson took the other

I knew what it was....
