Ling Ling sat in the brightly lit waiting room, her nerves buzzing beneath the surface. She had done countless auditions before, but this one was different. This one had the potential to change everything. The project was big—Channel 3's new sapphic series, The Secret of Us. It was exactly what she had been waiting for.

Ling Ling had always played the girl-next-door roles—sweet, innocent, and a bit too predictable. But The Secret of Us was a challenge, a leap she had longed to take. The series, based on a popular book, told the story of Fahlada, a serious, career-driven doctor, and Earn, a carefree actress who was grappling with the emotional aftermath of a painful breakup. The show was bold, unafraid to explore the complexity of love and pain between two women.

Gap The Series, a GL show, had achieved immense success. Its two leading actresses, Freen Sarocha and Becky Armstrong—better known as Freenbecky—had catapulted the GL genre into the limelight. Now, Ling Ling was determined to be part of the next wave of sapphic stories, pushing the narrative even further.

Her boyfriend, Win, an already established star in the BL industry , had been fully supportive when she decided to audition. "You've got this," he'd said, his usual confidence contagious. "You're ready to show the world what you can really do."

Ling Ling wasn't so sure. Despite the support, there was a part of her that felt insecure. What if she wasn't what they were looking for? What if the chemistry wasn't right? Can she make people believe that she is in love with a woman? Can she be a girl kisser?

The casting director's voice echoed through the hallway, snapping her out of her thoughts. "Ling Ling Sirilak Kwong, you're up next."

Taking a deep breath, Ling Ling stood and straightened her blouse. It was time.
