When growing up as an only child, it's believed to that you're always being spoiled. Well, if that's what you were thinking, then you'd be right. Most of the typical "rich kid" stereotypes can describe Miya Osamu greatfully.

Miya Osamu was born October 5th, 2003. He lived in a big house with both his parents. His father being a successful lawyer and his mother being one of the best a homicide detectives in his region.

Osamu had everything any kid his age would ever want. The latest new shoes, newest devices. You name it, he had it. Despite all these things, he never liked to brag about how good he had it. It didn't make him feel good.

He went to Inarizaki High, and was on the school volleyball team. He was one of the most skilled people on the team, while only being a second year. He was in a relationship with Suna Rintarou, one of the heartthrobs at Inarizaki. They've known each other since middle school and even if Suna wasn't on the team, he occasionally helped Osamu practice.

The boy believed he was living the dream, always surrounded by people he loved and happy about where his future was heading. He knew that nothing would ever change that.

However, it was different for another boy, who just so happened to live across the country.

Miya Atsumu was born October 5th, 2003. He was sadly put up for adoption just hours after he was born. Thankfully, he was never moved around in the system and got adopted when he was one years old.

His mother was originally from America, who had been living in Japan for a couple of years. However, she was unable to have children, which is how adoption came into her mind. She fell in love with Atsumu the minute she laid eyes on him after a few weeks, he was officially her new son.

But, the two had to go back to America, meaning Atsumu never got the chance to grow up in Japan. His mother owned a beauty salon chain, which was expanded all around the world. She was originally stationed in America, then it kept growing and growing, which is why his mother was constantly moving around. But, she settled in America after she adopted Atsumu.

Because of her success, they never lived in poverty, but they weren't the richest either. Atsumu started working at sixteen to start making his own money, to save up for his future. His mom always told him that he never had to worry about his future, but he always assured her that it was alright. Plus, he got a sense of independence after he was hired. He wasn't living the typical teenage dream, he was alwys full of joy and life.

Atsumu's mother taught him Japenese when he was little, just incase they had to suddenly go back to Japan. Sure enough, one week after Atsumu turned seventeen, they were going back to Japan. After several plane rides, renewing their licenses and his mother getting her new car, they returned back to Atsumu's birth place, and bought their apartment in Hyogo.

It took them awhile for them to settled into their new apartment, as well as getting Atsumu enrolled in school. Since they came in the middle of October, the school notifyed his mother that it would be better for Atsumu to start after winter break, when second semester began. The nearest school was Inarizaki High and after winter break, he started his second semester there, while also in his second year.

OSAMU'S POV
—————————————————————————

It was 5:15 A.M. when the alarm clock on my phone start going off rapid. I groaned as I hit the snooze button, going back to sleep for an extra nine minutes.

When the alarm went off again, I sighed as I turned it off and sat up, stretching my arms into the hair. I checked the time and it was 5:24 A.M. I rolled off my bed and did my usual stretches before I began walking into my. bathroom.

When I finished with all my things, I could hear quiet talking downstairs before I smelt something being cooked. I happily sighed and continued to my room. I put on my uniform and got my backpack. I quickly unplugged my phone and rushed downstairs with my bag, curious about what was being cooked.

"Is there still food left for me?!" Mom let out a quiet chuckle, as dad looked at me smiling, sipping on his cup of coffee.

"You got lucky this time son, there's a plate waiting for you by the fridge." Dad said as I cheered happily, scurrying over to the fridge and grabbing my plate. It was eggs and bacon, with asparagus.

I sat down and swiftly ate my breakfast. I was actually really excited to go back to school, especially to see Rinny. We were traveling during winter break, so I haven't seen him since school ended. When I was finished, I put my plate in the sink and washed my hands. I gave mom a kiss on the cheek and gave dad a fist bump.

"Bye guys!" I waved to them as I sprinted out the door, hearing their "goodbye's" and "love you's" as I closed the door behind me. I looked up and saw Rin leaning on mom's car, putting his attention to his phone.
———
Osamu: "Morning Rinny!"
Suna: "Oh, morning Samu."
———
Rin put his phone in his back pocket, as I walked up to him. I gave him a kiss on the lips, and smiled. We held hands and started our morning walk to school.
———
Suna: "I heard from some people a new kid is coming to our school."
Osamu: "Cool! Do you know who?"
Suna: "Not much. But, I do know they used to live in America."
———
My jaw dropped, which made Rin laugh. 'Exchange student from America?! Awesome!' I thought. I couldn't help but wonder if they know Japenese, but I stopped thinking about that, as me and Rin kept talking.
After 15 minutes, we finally made it to school. We went inside, and we separated, since we each had different first period classes. I walked into english class, and saw some of my friends talking, so I put my bag down at my desk and went over to them.
———
Osamu: "Hey guys. What're you talking about?"
Kuroo: "Have you heard? About the new foreign exchange student?"
Osamu: "Mhm, Rin filled me in earlier this morning."
Bokuto: "I'm really excited!!"
———
I nodded in agreement, and my friends kept talking, as I ket thinking about the kid. I wondered what he or she was like. That's when the teacher walked in, a boy coming in behind her. She told us to go to our seats, which we did, and the bell rang when we all settled in our seats.
———
Teacher: "I'm going to guess most of you know about the new student. If you don't, he is from America, so there might be some things he won't get, so please don't pressure him."
———
We all said yes to the teacher, and gave pur attention to the new kid. He had on a black shirt, and some jeans, wearing a jacket that revealed his messy blonde hair.
———
Teacher: "Okay, share the class your name and 1 intersting thing about yourself."
Atsumu: "Well, my name is Atsumu Jackson. Jackson is my last name. And, I watched Riverdale 27 hours on end."
———
The class giggled at his intersting thing, as Atsumu gave a smile. One of my friends then raised his hand to ask Atsumu a question.
———
Akaashi: "I have a question."
Atsumu: "Uh, yes?"
Akaashi: "Is your first name Jackson or?..-"
Atsumu: "Well in America, when you introduce yourself, you say your first name first. So my last name is Jackson. I know some people go by their last names, but I would prefer if you call me Atsumu."
———
My class nodded and Atsumu went to go sit down at a seat in the back. He seemed like a very fun person and I was excited to get to know more about him. But, I couldn't help but wonder about how he looks.. like me.. I just shook it off and listened to what the teacher was saying.
