It's late and the drizzling turned to heavy rain.

I walked in the middle of the cold September air, my clothes soaking wet from the rain but I can't stop, not yet.

I thought about what they said, I think I'm not ready to face the consequences.

No, I know I'm not.

I saw the wood sign pointing North, where my destination was. I never looked back.

It only occurred to me now that I was only wearing my night robe and some boots I never knew I owned.

As odd as it sounds given my current state, I began to laugh at the thought. Sigh, funny how my night turned out like this.

As I walk around I found the two-story cabin. This was made for the visiting mountain climbers that were staying for the night since there were no nearby motels around the area.

Fresh vivid memories welcomed my presence. Darkness gloomed the road. Trees were prancing, and I shivered from the cold night.

I could've done better, damnit Nein.

With all the strength I could muster, I broke the massive vase and soil scattered in the wooden doorway.

A shimmer in the night. The key was burried in the pot, just as I remembered.

I almost scoffed. "Of course. " Of all people, I would know where they hide the key. I pushed the squicking door open.

Few steps in, and I can already tell no one's been in here for a while. Good.

There's still a working electricity. The windows were barred, it seems the old man wasn't pleased with having visitors.

The couch by the fireplace was heaven at the moment. I dusted off the sheets, and made the fire. There were still stacks of piled woods left and by the kitchen, it seemed to have unlimited resources. Billy must be proud.

As I lay there, staring at the ceiling, nothing came to my thoughts. Just pure silence, and that was all I needed. I close my eyes to get away from reality but even in my dreams, I'm haunted by it.

"Nein this is for the best! You should know that of all people, your brother needs your help this is not the time to be selfish Nein." The flickering didn't stop, voices from a distant kept on going.

"This is is the only way!" More screams came from that direction and the more I ran from it, the louder it became.

"No! What about me?! I can't lose myself!" I screamed back. The lights began to flicker from all directions until it it blinded my vision. I was never going to get away from it.
