Journal Entries - Hinata Shoyo x Reader -

Annoyance,

Anger bubbled through your veins. Hinata had started practicing with the girls volleyball team. The team that you happened to become the manager of. It BOILED your blood. They accepted him with open arms because they didn’t know the relationship between the two of you, so you said nothing. At this point, you’d forgotten what exactly you were mad about in the first place, you just knew you were mad at him for being obsessed with volleyball. The boy was practically ignoring you as well. It kind of bothered you. Didn’t he still have some feelings for you? 

“Hinata! Here, serve like this!” one of the girls showed Hinata how to serve, but he couldn’t get it, and it bothered you.

“I can’t seem to get it right…” Hinata noted, grabbing the volleyball and trying again, and again, failing. You knew how to serve better than Hinata, so, you picked up a volleyball, the team surprised because you never served in front of them. Hinata watched as you hit the serve perfectly, one of the girls moving quickly to receive it, but the force of it was so strong it bounced off and probably bruised her arms.

“That’s how you serve. Sho-kun.” you mockingly said the nickname, causing alarm to the team members. 

“Hey! That’s not very nice!” 

“Don’t be mean to Hinata, he’s trying his best!”

The team defended Hinata as you stood there, a blank expression on your face as you felt the twinge of hurt of being berated for your mean behavior. Looking towards the ground, you turned around, picking up the water bottle holder and your bag.

“I’m going to fill the water and then I’m going home.”

The tears filled your eyes as anger rushed through your veins. Why did Shoyo- no… Hinata have to ruin everything? He’s been the cause of everything bad it seems. UGH! I can’t stand it, he’s still on his volleyball adventure....  Damn, I shouldn’t miss that damn twerp. I just wish we could be friends again… like the way we used to be… maybe… just maybe…

“F/N! What’s going on? You never are rude to anyone, so what’s the problem with Sho-Kun?” the captain asked, catching up to you. 

“That is none of your concern.”

“It is if the manager is causing a ruckus with someone who we help practice with.”

“I have my own personal reasons for not liking Sho-.... Hinata and it's not your business.”

“Stop being a mood-killer, you need to chill, everytime Sho comes in you get this dark aura about you, the team notices if you weren’t aware, just tell me what happe-”

“He was an asshole to me during the end of our childhood friendship, he was totally obsessed with volleyball and would barely talk or do anything else, it was draining and I’d had enough, he wouldn’t even spend time doing stuff with me other than playing volleyball!” you snapped, “There, happy, Cap?”

The captain looked surprised as you finished filling up the last of the water bottles, pushing them into the girls arms. You walked for a few seconds before she spoke up.

“If you hate volleyball so much, then why’d you become the manager of our team?” she inquired, “Just think about that for a while.”

Then, you ran off, running back to your house. No. This wasn’t your fault. It was Hinata’s. Right?...... Maybe… it wasn’t his fault… Maybe… you were in the wrong. Running down the sidewalk, you didn’t notice yourself coming up to a road. There was a crash behind you. A car just about hit you when something pulled you back, embracing you tightly as the car slammed on the breaks, going past where you would’ve been a goner. Adrenaline rushed through your veins as you realized what could’ve happened to you. And then, your face heated up when you recognized one more thing.
