Journal Entries - Hinata Shoyo x Reader -

Beginne am Anfang

However, you had just finished an entry in the same, worn-down, green journal from when you were nine. The entries were often so small on the giant pages, you could fit an entire week of entries on one page, so you’d only used about 215 pages out of the 220, so it was almost time to get a new journal.

You had also changed too, becoming a more logical person with more maturity, but not quite yet, and definitely with some amount of arrogance. It’s not like you lost your personality, you just tended to hide it now, even from your best friend. Each time the ball had slammed against the wall, or when Hinata went to get it, the more it bothered you. All Hinata did was volleyball now, even when the two of you were hanging out, he’d only play volleyball. It annoyed you, all you wanted to do was have your best friend back, not this person who barely paid any mind to you. Finally, the ball had bounced off the wall and hit you for the fifth time that day, which made you furious.

“Oh! Sorry about that F/N, I just want to get bett-”

“I’m so tired…”

“Just a few more minutes please! I just need a few more-”

“I’M SO TIRED! ALL YOU EVER TALK ABOUT IS STUPID ASS VOLLEYBALL! VOLLEYBALL VOLLEYBALL VOLLEYBALL! I’M SICK OF IT! YOU NEVER PAY ME ANY MIND ANYMORE, ALL YOU DO IS TRY TO PLAY VOLLEYBALL!” you screamed in frustration, throwing the green journal in anger. Tears poured down your face as you picked up your bag and headed over to the journal, grabbing the journal from the grass.

“What are you talking about? Are you not supporting me? We’re supposed to be together through thick and thin, not gettin-”

“You’re so stupid! You don’t even follow through with your own stupid friendship rules! You’re a terrible friend!” you retorted, hics interrupting your rant occasionally, “I’m so tired! I’m so so so tired!”

“Well you’ve changed and I don’t like it! You’re so quiet now and when I try to talk you just nod and go with whatever I say, you oftentimes just zone out! You’re just as guilty you dumbass!” he responded back, getting very defensive quickly.

“IT’S CALLED GETTING ANNOYED AT THE FACT IS ALL YOU EVER TALK ABOUT IS YOU! I NEVER GET TO TALK ABOUT ME! YOU’RE A JERK AND AN EVEN BIGGER DUMBASS THAN ME! THAT’S IT I’M DONE! I’M DONE BEING YOUR STUPID ‘BEST FRIEND’ IF I’M BEING BLAMED FOR YOU NOT PUTTING IN EFFORT!” you cried out, angrily picking up the volleyball and throwing it in his face, “THANKS FOR MAKING ME FEEL LIKE AN IDIOT SHOYO! HAVE A NICE LIFE ONLY DOING VOLLEYBALL AND RUINING EVERY STUPID FRIENDSHIP YOU HAVE!”

“WAIT F/N DON’T LEAVE-”

Quickly, you ran away, running as fast as you could from the boy. You knew he’d try to come over, but you weren’t going to take back your decision, you were too stubborn to do that. He made the decision a long time ago when he decided to only ever talk about stupid volleyball to the point of obsession. Even though you knew your feelings were changing and you had no clue how to deal with them. The feeling you had before wasn’t present anymore, and you’d assumed you just absolutely started to get annoyed, and you were actually annoyed. Little did you know, those little butterflies in your stomach, were sparks of love. It was too late however, the relationship between you and Hinata was obliterated.

Dear Journal,

Hinata Shoyo has entered my life again. He has decided to play with the girls volleyball team to practice, of which I am the manager in. I am so irritated, I wish he’d just leave for once! That annoying, stupid, asshole! I wish my teammates hated him too.
