6th July 2018,
Was a date I could never forget even if I tried. Entering into the cemetery with flowers in my hand, I headed straight for the now painfully familiar route that lead to the two gravestones that I had now been forced to accept as a part of my life whether I believed it or not.

Loving Mother, Loving Father,
Sister and wife. Brother and Husband."Hi mom and dad." I sniffed holding back tears. "I just wanted to let you know that I've taken Aunt Jenna's advice and I've decided to start over. It's been a year you know and I've gotten admission into a college. It's not an Ivy League but it's still something. It's in Georgia which is almost halfway on the other side of the country and I guess it's time to start afresh. This might be the last time I'd see you guys for a year and I want you to know that I love you, both of you. Thank you for everything and I hope you're smiling down at me from heaven. Gotta go, Benjie's waiting for me with the rest. They send their greetings. When I'm done, we're heading to the airport and I'll board my plane. Don't worry dad, we're not late. I know how much you hate when we don't get somewhere early enough. It was just Brooke that threw a mini tantrum but it was sorted out. Goodbye mom and dad. It was nice talking to you again."
I placed the roses on each of their graves and stared at them. A gentle breeze blew through the cemetery and I smiled and headed to the car.
"Are you sure you're ready Bells?" Jessie asked and I nodded happy she didn't ask how it went. She started driving and I sighed.
Guess it was time for a fresh start.
