Not too long ago, the Cat's Tail popularity has soared through the roof, all thanks to the newly added drink on their menu. People from all over Mondstadt have visited the place all just to try out their new wind brew drink. Cold and refreshing, perfect for the arrival of summer.

Now, no matter what trend engulfs the city by storm, it has no actual impact on the sales at Angel's Share, for alcohol will always be sought after by tired adults (and a few ditzy bards,) but even so, having so many people line up in front of a rival tavern will concern just about anyone.

Today was one of those rare days where Diluc helps out at the bar. As usual, the bar was packed with the usual alcoholics- even a few new faces who most likely visited the town for the Cat's Tail.
As he was wiping down the bar table, the door opens with the ringing of the doorbell.

"Welcome to Angel's Share, how should I get you started?"

"A talk with the owner might help."

Diluc looks up from what he was doing, letting out an annoyed sigh, that same old voice.

"What do you want fatui?"

Childe lets out an exasperated laugh, "you're always so cold, Red."

"No thanks to you." Diluc replies, going back to wiping down the bar table.

Childe walks closer to the bar table, holding his arm out and pinning Diluc's hand down.

"Won't you talk to me?"

Diluc looks up to meet Childes eyes, his gaze full of annoyance.

"I'm sorry, I'm going to have to ask you to leave sir. Your presence has disrupted the atmosphere here quite a lot."

Childe looks over to the countless drunk men looking at him with discerning looks, might've been a bad choice to show up in his usual fatui attire for non-business-related activities.

"Red, from the bottom of my heart, I'm begging you please hear me out, I came all the way here."

Diluc looks back at Childe, the man was looking down, his grip on his arm tight. Diluc knew Childe enough to know that he was being sincere, he wasn't a person to say things he didn't mean- but although knowing that, Diluc still wanted nothing to do with him, and as if Barbatos himself was there, one of the bards in the tavern had called out for another beer, Diluc instantly took his hand out of the man's grip before he walks over to the table with their order in hand.

Childe looks over to where the redhead went. Diluc's hair was tied into a high ponytail, gleaming like gold from the lights of the tavern, his usual black coat substituted for a beige vest over his usual white button-up.

Childe lets out a sigh, supposedly he should just give up. All that effort convincing La signora to let him handle the business in Mondstadt so that he can meet Diluc again felt like a waste-but as long as he knows that he did try to reconcile, was good enough for him. No effort done is ever a waste, that's what his father usually said to him when he was little.

Childe heads for the door, looking over once more in hopes that Diluc would look over at him again, but to no avail, he proceeds to walk out of the bar.

On his way over to the Goth Grand Hotel, he decides to take a detour to one of the little gardens near the guild center. He took a seat on one of the benches, as he sighs in frustration.

"You can come out now, Captain."

Kaeya walks from behind the building, clapping his hands.

"Just as expected from one of the elite Harbingers."

"I hope tailing me around the city for a whole day was fulfilling for you," Childe says, an annoyed smirk forming on his face.

"oh, why of course, It is my job, after all, to keep an eye out for potential threats."

"I'm not here to do anything of the sort, Captain. I'm just taking care of some administrative business."

"And I'm guessing a few personal businesses too? Why you made quite the ruckus in my brothers' tavern."

"None of it is your concern, Kaeya."

"Of course, I'm not here to judge you on what you do in your free time-"

"Watch it Captain, you know nothing about me."

Kaeya smiles, "you're right, I know nothing about you-but I know my brother well enough to pick up that your presence in the city affects him deeply, so I ask you to finish your business here swiftly.

Good night, Ajax."

After Kaeyas silhouette disappears behind one of the buildings, Childe leans his back on the cold bench-his hand clawing his hair.

"I didn't realize you cared for me that much, Red."
