"PLEASE PLEASE PLEASEEEE just tell me who your new friend is" Lexie begged

"no" i said packing my bags for next week

it's already been a couple days since i've seen billie we still talk everyday though and we've gotten pretty close, Lexie clearly still doesn't know and she doesn't have to.

"where are you going" she asked me

"to the basketball court and maybe to the batting cage that's right next to it" i said putting my clothes on

"again? this is your third time this week!" she said

"yeah i kinda like working out" i laughed

"can i come?"

"sure"

there's this place barely anyone goes to that has an outdoor basketball court and batting cage. surprisingly the ball machine still works i don't think anyone has used it in years. before we left billie texted me.

billie: HEY ARE YOU BUSY

me: UHH KINDA WHY WHATS WRONG

billie: AW MAN

me: WHATS WRONG???

billie: all my other friends are busy and i just kinda assumed you didn't have a life :(

me: i hate you 😭

billie: well can i hang out with you today???

me: fine i'll pick you up in like 5 minutes

billie: YAY where we going

me: you are coming with me and my friend lexie to work out 🥰

billie: THATS WHAT YOU DO FOR FUN?!!?!?

me: yes 🙏🏽

billie: ugh fine i'll get dressed i guess 🙄

i threw on my red hoodie that i always wear and told lexie to hurry up. lexie has only been living here for like two years so i don't understand how she hasn't ever met billie especially only two houses down but lexie is a weirdo who likes to have friends that live no where near her. so. we got in the car and Lexie turned on the radio but i turned it down a bit because really loud noises make me a bit uncomfortable. she still didn't know we were going to see billie. i stopped at her house and texted her that we were here.

"why'd you stop" lexie asked confused

i quickly turned to her.

"1. picking up a friend. 2. don't embarrass me 3. don't say anything stupid" i said

"you are acting like i'm five i'm four years older than you calm down" she said putting her hand on my shoulder

billie came out and she dyed her hair blackish purple she looked really good even if she was only in an oversized shirt and sweatpants on.

"is that-" i cut lexie off by putting my hand over her mouth

"not another word sister"

billie got in the car and i introduced her to lexie.

"hey quinn!" she said smiling

"hey billie, this is lexie" i said pointing to her

lexie turned around and acted normal for once putting her hand out for a handshake. we listened to music and they surprisingly clicked very well. it wasn't like those silent awkward car rides when you don't know a person it was very nice. i drove up to the batting cage and there were three machines enough for all of us. lexie brought her own gear and went straight to the cage. billie was awkwardly standing there because she didn't have heat but it's okay cause i always bring extra.

"here ya go b" i said putting the helmet on her  and handing her the bat

assuming she already knew what to do i went to my space and got to batting until i heard the ball hitting against the cage a bunch of times just to see her be scared of the ball. i went over and got behind her holding her hands in a way to make it easy to swing the bat.

"you're such a baby" i laughed

since my head was behind her face i couldn't see her but i could feel her smile.

"i've never done this before" she said in a baby voice

"but i have watched baseball before" she continued normally

eventually she got the hang of it and i got to swing on my own. i passed Lexie and she had a smirk on her face. i mouthed "what?" to her as i passed and she just shrugged laughing. what a weirdo. we ended up getting bored with the baseball and went to the basketball court. i taught billie the basics of the game so she'd know what to do.

"2 v 1" Lexie said

"both the bad players vs me" she laughed

"wowww i see how it is" billie laughed

i got in my team with billie and she was absolutely ass at the game but it was hilarious to see her try. i helped her make the free throw by positioning her arms in place. we were joking around half the time until she took my phone and went running with it.

"IM GOING TO CATCH YOU" i said running after you

"NEVERRR"

i caught up to her and tried to get my phone. my arms were wrapped around her so she couldn't move.

"i got you trapped now it's too late" i laughed out of breathe

"you are a fast mother fucker" she laughed handing me my phone

"so true" i said

we walked back over to where lexie was and of course she was on her phone again texting her online friends.

"quinn can i talk to you about something important?" she asked me

"yeah sure" we walked a little away from billie who looked so cute drinking her water bottle on her phone woah why the fuck did i just think that

"what's up lex?"

"cut the bullshit" she laughed

"wha- what bullshit homegirl?"

"you have a fat crush on billie and she has one on you too" she said

"bro she's like my little sister i'm straight and she is too stop trying to get me to be gay" i said annoyed

"you had sex with that one girl from the party once" she said making me choke on my water

this is true i have slept with a woman a couple... of.....times and enjoyed it.
