Dread ducky x reader

You walked through this gross place or at least tried to, not easy walking when there is gross sewage water everywhere, you were about (y/a) years old. But just as you were about to take a turn on tthe right you scream- one of the monsters are there chasing you!

You make a quick turn around and use your speed boost to get away, but you run and run until you hit a wall, stumbling back you mutter a few 'ows' as you rub your forehead before hearing a sound, turning around you shake in your shoes (or if you wear any shoes at all--)

The monster comes closer and closer, you cover your eyes expecting to be killed, but you feel two arms(?) Pull you into a hug of sorts, you shakily remove your hands from your face to see the strange deaded duck monster hugging you. Although it seems like it's not really much of a hug since the duck doesn't really have arms, but you decide to take it anyway- but with caution..

The duck slightly shivers since the sewer water isn't exactly warm at all, but freezes in place as it hears one of its other monster friends running trying to find you to kill you. The duck kneels down, making a soft quack noise as it signals you to hop on its back, you nod, seeing no other option, and as you hop on it's back it gets up and runs, going to a different area away from its monster friends, the room isn't like the rest, it's like a bedroom but old and worn down, you hop off.

"Thank you.." you say kindly to the duck, the duck does a happy dance(?) before sitting down by you, you notice how different it seemed, it was a bit more broken-ish then the other ones, like the story ugly duckling you read. Feeling bad for running away, you hug the duck.

It seems highly taken back by your kind gesture but eventually nuzzles back. You pet it's head, growing a sort of friendship with it, you notice the duck shake, you so happened to have spare clothes in your bag/pocket (whatever you want it to be :>).
"Here, try these..." putting some soft fluffy yellow duck pattern socks on the duck and a nice light blue scarf on it.

The duck, seeming very happy and comfortable, gives a happy quack, before hugging you again, you decide you can trust this one. And soon as you both have a happy moment... The door opens...A bunch of very angry dreaded duckies are outside, but something happens that surprises you..

Your companion gets up, and quacks angrily at them all, but their quack was distorted and kinda scary to hear that would send shivers down anyone's spine. The other monsters, feeling HIGHLY intimidated, run away, leaving you two alone.

The duck turns to you and kneels down for you to hop on, you get on; "thank you for saving me again.." you speak, the duck nods as a 'no problem' before taking you away from this nightmare, but the portal doesn't look like any escape portal to the ballroom.. But..
Sorta like a way out of here, out of everything.

You and the duck escape, and be best friends.
