Levi x Reader Part 2

"You want me to come with you?" you asked, not needing Levi to talk more. The black-haired man nodded his head in response. "Do you have their things yet?" the question was filled with sorrow. It was always painful for a Squad Leader to go through a cadet's belongings to return home. You had done it with your Squad.

"Not yet," Levi admitted, unsure of what else to say.

"I'll meet you in the stables to get the horses. Give me a half hour. I'll gather their belongings and inform Hanji of our departure," you offered, standing to your feet. Levi released a heavy sigh and ran his hands over his face as you walked around the desk to him.

"Thanks, (Y/N)," he muttered as you sat on the arm of the chair. Levi didn't know what he'd do without you. Especially the last few days. You had doted on him. Made him tea, changed his bandages, kept him company (more for the other cadets' sake than his) but he was thankful for it.

"You don't need to thank me," you smiled, kissing his temple gently. "I'm here to support you, you know that," you added and quickly made your way out of the room, leaving Levi alone.

"And that, is just one of the reasons why I love you," Levi muttered to himself.

You had called on help from Armin and Jean to gather the belongings of Eld, Oluo and Gunther, the two were more than happy to help. While you took it upon yourself to get the things that belonged to Petra. You could feel your heart break that little bit more as you looked over her belongings, they weren't much but they were hers and they were special to her and it hurt to have lost her. You weren't exactly close to her but Petra always made an effort to talk to you whenever you were with Levi. She always held a smile on her face for you and you admired that about her.

Telling Hanji of your disappearance didn't take too long, though she did try to get you to stay for an experiment, something to do with chemicals and science and you quickly declined. As you left the room, something behind you exploded and you heard the person helping scream Hanji's name in annoyance. You were glad you declined.

By the time you got to the stables, Armin and Jean had loaded the belongings of Squad Levi onto Blue and Levi's horse, Grey. Levi was already sitting atop his horse and, to the cadet's surprise, thanked them for their help. Though they were shocked, the two cadets responded with smiles and quickly hurried on their way when you gave them the all clear to leave.

You tied Petra's belongings onto Blue and quicky hopped up onto him. You glanced to Levi and raised an eyebrow. How did he get on the horse with the sprained ankle?

"I used the step ladder and if you tell anyone a titan will seem friendly compared to the consequences," Levi threatened, riding his horse toward the exit of the stables. You licked your lips to stop yourself exploding in laughter at the thought of Levi using the step ladder and quickly caught up to him.

According to Levi, Petra, Oluo, Eld and Gunther lived in close areas of Wall Rose, so informing the families shouldn't take too long. Then again, it could take all day. You didn't know how the families would react to the news.

Levi made the call to inform Petra's father first, since he was the family that lived the closest. The ride to Petra's home was quiet. Levi sat on his horse mulling over what he was going to say and you were respectful of that. You understood if he didn't want to talk about it and you weren't going to pry.

You listened to the townspeople who gasped and muttered incoherent things as you rode by. Unlike Levi who wore his black jacket, you wore the Survey Corps Cape, complete with the Wings of Freedom. You were proud to be a member of the Survey Corps.

The ride to Petra's home wasn't long. Her father lived in one of the more populated areas of Wall Rose. His home was surrounded by other houses and children rushed about the streets happily. Across from the home was a small market where one could buy the needed groceries.
