Y/N Pov:
The summer of 1999 was a fun one, especially for you and your friend group which was made up of Josuke, Koichi, and your beloved Okuyasu. You and Okuyasu were childhood friends, you were always there for him when his dad came home angry, and he was always there for you when you were sad. After the fight between Kira Yoshikage and basically everyone else you knew, you and Okuyasu grew closer than ever, you started hanging out more and soon enough he confessed his feelings to you, to say you were happy was an understatement.
-Skip forward to the day before the beginning of the school year-
"Oi Y/N! Do you have all of your stuff for school?" He said. He may be dumb but at least he's prepared. "Yes Oku, I even double checked." you said while walking with him to the ice cream shop. Once you walked into the ice cream parlor you ordered your ice cream and Okuyasu ordered his. You ordered f/f and he ordered chocolate.
You sat down at a bench near by and peacefully talked and ate your ice cream. After eating with Okuyasu you both decided to go to your house, passing some of the girls from your school Okuyasu noticed your sudden change in demeanor as you the girls walked by giggling to themselves. "What's wrong Y/N, you seem sad." he said as he stopped walking. You stopped a few inches ahead and turned around to look at him as you put on a fake smile, "Oh, it's nothing. Let's just go home." You turned back around and started walking again with Okuyasu not that far behind.
You got to your house and put all of your stuff away and got ready for the first day of school tomorrow. A few hours had passed and Okuyasu asked if he could stay the night. Him being your boyfriend you obliged. You both got ready for bed and before you could get in the bed, Okuyasu picked you up and gently threw you on the bed and jumped on you. He started to cuddle you, you slowly began to break down in his arms, crying quietly. "It's ok, I love you, I just hope you know that you are enough. You deserve to be loved, you deserve warmth, food, water, and you deserve every good thing that comes your way." Okuyasu said while cradling you in his arms slowly drawing circles on your back. You slowly drifted off into your dreams as Okuyasu held you in his arms for the rest of the night.
