*BEEP BEEP BEEP*

"Urgh, five more minutes- WAIT! No, I can't have five more minutes, or I will be late!"

Throwing off the covers is the first step getting dressed is the next one. Charm keeps that in mind as she gets out of bed and briskly puts on her school uniform.

"Ok, time for the checklist; hat: check, dress: check, blouse: check, bow: check, stockings: check, cape/shawl/cover thing: check" All Charm needs now is her shoes, which are waiting at the door. She quickly walks downstairs and receives her morning meal of fruit and vegetables with a cup of milk. Milk helps your wings to grow strong and helps them not get hurt during flight practice. She remembered her mother's words about how to be more successful. As she finished up, she put the dishes in the sink like so. She could hopefully wash them later after school. Charm slipped on her shoes, buckled the buckle tightly, and took off. The school was only a five-minute flight away from her house over by the harbor.

"Ok, my schedule is right here..." She started murmuring incoherently about what special today was. Charm was standing in the waiting zone for the school, right outside the landing zone. The bell rang, so Charm quickly rushed to her class, tucking her wings in close behind her. Her first class is science. Charm sat down in her seat and the teacher walked in a minute later.

"Hello, class today we are going to start our unit on Aviaire Wing Structure," Charm's teacher said with an unnerving amount of enthusiasm. They had a tall, strong figure that implied that they were a fast flier. His large feathered wings resting neatly behind him. "all of you have decided to take this advanced class." He shifted his wings to be more comfortable against the blackboard. "So we will be reviewing the types of Aviaire wings. As well as what that implies to your everyday lives. So everyone please retrieve your notebooks from your book bags."

Eventually, everyone had their notebooks out, and the teacher turned around to write the first part of the notes on the chalkboard. "First, we have the quote on quote 'normal' Aviaires..."

~Time skip to the end of school~

As Charm left school after a long day of taking notes and taking tests, She saw her cue. A stunningly gorgeous ravenette with bright blue eyes the color of fire. The girl had no wings, and that just solidified who she was. Charm walked up to her and stared into her blue eyes with her amber ones.

"Hey, shortie" The girl smiled as the words left her lips.

"Hello to you as well, Crimson." Charm replied with a playful lilt to her voice. Crimson ran her fingers through Charm's pale reddish-brown hair, some few minutes later, Crimson ushered Charm to follow her to their secret place. A few minutes out, the girls arrived at the foot of a pond in the middle of the flower grove, rocks dappled with light and moss, Ancient trees towering above them, coated in flowers and mystery.

Hours later, the girls were full of bliss, bliss gained from not knowing the fate that would befall them a few days away.

FIRST CHAPTER! I have had this idea in my brain for a while but now I have finally worked up the courage to write it down and publish it! I know it's short but that was kinda the point, I can't say too much but these first few chapters will be on the shorter side as we need introductions obviously.
