Port Angeles seemed like the place to be that night. Hundreds of strands of fairy lights illuminated the street below, as crowds of teens, families, and lovers walked by towards the many available shops and restaurants. Down the road, Manny's Movie Theater drew in most of the masses due to the premiere of the highly anticipated 'Face Punch' showing that night.  It was all the rage, according to Insider Weekly.

Parked across the street hidden within the shadows of the dim streetlights resided a faded red 1992 BMW M3 that held the two infamous hot heads of the Uley Pack as they stared intensely at the theater across the road. When the two shifters first drove out here to commence their  top secret operation, the teens had failed to realize a small list of things:

1. They did not know which showing of the movie that their objectives were going to see.

2. How long they were going to have to wait for Jacob and his leech lover to show up.

3. How fucking hungry the two shifters were going to become.

It completely slipped from the minds of the duo that their Alpha gave them absolutely no information regarding this "mission".  To say that they were annoyed was quite an understatement, especially as they watched multiple people walk through the street with various foods and drinks in their hands. The only thing that the duo had to quench their hunger and boredom were the handful of cigarettes that Mimiteh was luckily able to find at the bottom of her purse.

Other than the soft melody of 505 by the Artic Monkeys playing in the background on the radio, the pair was silent, both too immersed in their own thoughts. Though they weren't voicing their worries aloud, the idea of gaining a new brother was borderline terrifying for the two of them. For Paul Lahote, he was mainly stressed about the balance of how the Pack operated would be impacted. The teenager liked structure, he needed a secure and structured environment in order to thrive, and he was able to find that within his new family, so yea, he was a bit nervous to see how Jacob would fit in.

It was no secret that Jacob Black hated the "La Push Gang", and even though Embry (who was once in Jacob's position) had transitioned nicely into the small family, there was no guarantee that the Black boy would have the same reaction. Gaining a new member of the pack was never easy. It's traumatic, scary, and intense for everyone involved. Having to welcome someone with open arms who just had their entire life uprooted is hard, but the Uley Pack is strong, they will get through it one way or another.

Paul Lahote took a deep drag from the cigarette in his hand. The rancid smoke filled the entire car, reminding him of the days when him and Mimiteh would hotbox the small BMW. Glancing at the girl next to him, he sees that she is fidgeting in her seat, right leg bouncing up and down uncontrollably, as she goes through her third stick. She was nervous. Nervous for the young boy that somehow wormed his way into her heart. Nervous for the pain that he was inevitably going to have to endure.

"You're fidgeting is making me nervous," the male shifter finally spoke up. Like someone flipped a switch, Mimiteh's movements halted instantly. "What's on your mind Mim?"

She doesn't respond at first, keeping her eyes on the building in front of her. The smoke of her cigarettes swarmed around her head, giving Paul a visual of all the intrusive thoughts that he knew were stabbing through her mind. Despite being best friends for the majority of their lives, Paul still had trouble getting a read on Mimiteh. The girl was just so secretive about what she was feeling and what she was going through, and it absolutely infuriated Paul to no end.

"It's nothing," the girl finally answered.

Silence.

Mimiteh frowned, the silence that ensued was loud. "Okay, stop doing that shit," she sighs, "I'm just worried about Jacob. He's shifting tonight, I can...sense it, I guess.... does that make sense?"
