Her mind drifts in and out of consciousness. She does the metaphysical equivalent of grumpily rolling over and mumbling "five more minutes". Alas, she has a job to do. The stars are beckoning. With one final sigh, she heaves her mind out of the murky confusion she calls sleep and gets to work.

A presence in her forest, that's what she senses first. Roiling with barely contained rage, it stomps around and scares her lovely critters. She's a little peeved but doesn't understand why she's been woken up for this. Angry people pass through all the time. Pressing farther, she can tell it's distinctly male. That's even odder, she's normally hardly able to tell the gender of a person for days at least, if she can find out at all. With one final exertion of energy, she reaches toward the core of his spirit and--

Ah, of course. She should have known sooner. No wonder she was woken up for this, this is a case especially suited to her capabilities. Starting to get excited, she begins to search for the perfect item with which to catch his attention. Well, first off, it has to be something he can wear. That much is obvious. A tiara? No, of course not, he'd never even consider wearing it. Something small and easily concealed. Impressive but not too flashy. A ring? Yes, a ring, he would wear that. A gold band and- what gem? Classically cut ruby, light reflecting off its polished sides? Opal, rainbow flecks glinting in the white stone? She finally settles on a humble but elegant piece of amber with a warm caramel tone.

Gorgeous. This is sure to catch his eye. Wiggling with excitement, she places it and settles down to wait.
