Chapter 1: This God Forsaken Lifetime

3rd POV

Lev walked into the newly remodeled Nekoma Highschool. It had been nearly a year since renovations had started and they were finally letting kids back in. He saw some of the Third years who had came back to finish and earn their diploma since school had been cut off about half way through the year. Lev's binder itched under his white button down shirt and he quickly scanned the hall to find his locker. 'Ah hah!' The tall boy thought walking up to it and putting in his locker combo. Lev reached in to grab his sketchbook. "Well Well, who do we have here?" He froze. His body going still. Behind him, an innocent looking orange haired boy stood smirking. Lev went to take a step back when he tripped over the boy's foot and went sprawling to the ground. "Hello again Victoria," Tears threatened to fall down Lev's pale face as his short silver hair fell into his cat like green eyes. "Well freak? What do you think you're doing here in the boys uniform? Remember no matter how hard you try, you'll never be a real boy. I honestly feel sorry for your soulmate, whoever they are." With those final words spoken, Hinata turned on his heal and walked down the hall, leaving a shaken and crying Lev in his wake.

Lev POV

Hinata Shoyo continued walking down the hall. I really don't hate him, if I'm being honest. He and I have known each other since elementary school. He was my first friend back then, and then something changed. He changed. I changed. Now he's no longer the happy go lucky tangerine I used to know. I dry my eyes and stand up. My class is the opposite direction of Hinata's, which is nice. I walk down the hall and into my class right before the late bell rings.

"Mr. Haiba, I see you have decided to join us." My teacher says, rolling her eyes as I feel heat rise to my ears in embarrassment.

"Sorry I'm late ma'am.."

I rush to my seat, head still lowered in embarrassment. Absentmindedly, I begin to fiddle with my hoodie string, blocking out my teacher's lecture. The period passes quickly, and soon the bell rings to dismiss us to our our next class. It goes like this till lunch, awkward conversations with classmates, hunching my shoulders, hoping to become invisible in this immense sea of hormonal teenagers and cranky old teachers. My height doesn't help. Even before I started Testosterone, I had been one of the tallest kids in my class, now about 6'3" I'm often called a giant.

I step into the loud cafeteria, and my eyes automatically fasten on a rambunctious brunette and stoic ebony haired boy. Those were my best friends, my platonic soulmates 💜, Oikawa Tooru and Kageyama Tobio. I start to walk over when I realize there are more people sitting at the table. A boy with bed hair sees me first and raises his hand.

"Hey Newbie!!" He calls to me. This sudden outburst causes Tooru and Tobio to look up. Their eyes widen and I see them smile. Before I realize what's happening, they both grab hold of a wrist and drag me over to the table. I trip over my shoe and practically fall on Tobio before Kawa grabs my waist quickly. Luckily (or mostly unluckily) for me, even with my height, I've still got a bit of a feminine build and am relatively light for my size. This time, I fall back in him, before quickly getting up. We both laugh, I apologize and hug both of them before sitting down.

"Hey Kawa, who're they?" A Sangwoo looking guy asks.

"This," he points at me, "Is Lev Haiba, one of my best friends. Touch him and I'll be cleaning more than dirt off my jersey, if you get my drift." He gives an 'innocent' smile before side hugging me again. I blush in embarrassment and try to shrink back into my chair. Lunch passes smoothly and Kawa introduces me to his table. Kuroo, the guy with the rooster bangs, introduces me to his boyfriends, Kenma Kozume, Koutaro Bokuto, and Keiji Akaashi. Kozume, a blond boy with dark roots, is playing on a psp, while Akaashi is leaning against Bokuto. I let out a nervous chuckle. A Grey haired guy stares intently at me and Kawa and it's giving me the creeps.

"Uh sir..."
