Madison Montgomery was standing, leaning against the table eyeing down a girl known as Zoe Benson who was talking to another girl at the academy. It was a casual day and nothing too interesting was occurring. The only way to sum it up is the word "nothing", that's it.

Well nothing except for one very important thing, Madison had a secret that she could never tell anyone in a million years, Madison was in love with the girl named Zoe. She had been ever since Zoe first arrived at the academy. It was unexpected for Madison to have a crush, especially on someone like Zoe, because it seemed as if she only used relationships for power and not love. Zoe had a certain charm to her that Madison was attracted to and lucky for her they had been assigned the same bedroom.

Madison had only talked to Zoe a couple times but she was so sweet and kind it only made Madison more crazy about her. Madison wasn't the kind of girl to just wait around for things to happen, if she wanted something she was gonna get it; but the thing was whenever Madison tried to talk to Zoe she got all soft and couldn't express how she truly felt.

This sucked for Madison because was known as, what you might call, a bitch so this wasn't what she was used to. Constantly shouting at and insulting her peers, Madison put up a tough front but deep down all she wanted was to be loved.

"Is there a fire pit out back because I'd love to have a fire." Zoe suggested to a girl named Queenie.

"Yea, just outside that door." Madison interrupted their conversation so she could have the chance to exchange words with Zoe even if just for a moment.

"She wasn't talking to you." Queenie barked at Madison.

Queenie and Madison have been know to constantly be at each other's throats so rude little remarks weren't an uncommon thing for the two.

"No, it's ok she can talk." Zoe told Queenie.

This made Madison feel special even if Zoe probably would've said that to anyone.

"I used to do bonfires with my mom every Friday when I was home and it was so much fun. Just the cool breeze and the sounds of the night and the big abyss that is the sky and the crackling fire. It's all so peaceful and cool." Zoe explained to the two girls.

Madison really wasn't the type of person to have deep conversations but watching Zoe ramble about all her favorite things was bearable even for Madison.

"Since it's starting to get dark, we could do it now." Madison suggested.

Zoe smiled at Madison which to Zoe was probably just her being polite but to Madison it completely filled her with butterflies.

"I'd love to." Zoe said getting up from the table and heading towards the old worn down door towards the back of the dimly lit academy.

The academy was gorgeous to the eye, old but classy in its nature, but it was boring for everyone there with nothing much to do.

The girls stepped outside and the cool breeze immediately hit Madison but she didn't get a jacket because she thought maybe being cold would give her an excuse to cuddle up next to Zoe and also she really was just too lazy to go back inside and look for one.

"There should be stuff to start the fire in that shed." Madison pointed to this tiny shack with the wood falling apart and the paint chipping off of it and it looked crooked, almost as if it had been ripped out of a Tim Burton film.

The three girls walked over to the pathetic looking shed and opened the door but the rusting on the hinges made it a bit difficult. It was dark in the shed because there was no lights and the smell of chemicals that were used to take care of the lawn filled the girls noses. There was a table that had a bunch of things on it and Zoe pulled out her phone to turn on the flashlight so the girls could differentiate the objects they were blindly touching. Zoe grabbed all the things needed for the fire, like lighter fluid, wood, etc.
