Allison

Allison Barker sat in catering, picking at her food, barely able to touch it. She was afraid she was going to be sick. She needed to get it together. She had been through breakups before. Why was this one so hard? If she thought about it for a second, she'd be able to pinpoint the exact reason, but Allison wouldn't let herself go there. Not now. She put her head in her hands, rubbing her temple.

"What's up Buttercup?" she heard asked cheerfully. She looked up to see Adam Copeland approaching her.

"Hey Adam," she said softly. He sat next to her.

"Why the long face?" he asked. She sighed. Was he serious? He knew exactly why she was upset. Her problems all stemmed back to his stupid, idiotic best friend! She watched as he looked at her. "Is this about Jay?"

"Isn't everything about Jay?" she asked with a humorless chuckle.

"Why did you guys break up?" he asked.

"He thinks I was cheating on him," she responded.

"Were you cheating on him?" Adam asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Of course not!" she said, aggravated.

"Then what was the problem?" he asked. Allison took a deep breath. Could she trust Adam with her secret? She had literally told no one. She pondered for a second- if she had just been honest with Jay, would they still be together? She took a deep breath.

"I'm pregnant," she said softly, averting her eyes from Adam's.

"I'm sorry," Adam said, "but I could have sworn you just said that you were pregnant."

"Shut up Adam!" Allison hissed. "Yes, I'm pregnant."

"So, let me get this straight," Adam started. "You are pregnant, but instead of telling your boyfriend, the love of your life, you thought it would be a better idea to let him think you were cheating on him."

"No!" Allison protested. "Yes. I don't know!"

"Why didn't you tell him?" Adam asked.

"We never talked about kids. I know he has Isla, but I didn't know if he would want any more. What if he didn't, and I forced this on him?"

"You know Jay," Adam said. "I've known Jay since he was 10. The only other thing he was meant to do besides be a wrestler is be a father. He will be thrilled. Go call him now. Show up at his house. Allie, you've got to tell him."

"I can't tell him," Allison said, tears now streaming down her face. "He told me he hated me! He said I broke his heart."

"Do you love him?" Adam asked. That was the question Allison hadn't allowed herself to ponder since the night she had stormed out of Jay's house. She had been extremely hurt and furious with him. She knew that she knew the answer, but in that second that Adam asked, she knew that she was very much in love with Jay Reso.

"Yes," she replied, finally meeting Adam's eyes. "More than anything."

"You've got to tell him" Adam said. "He deserves to know you're having his baby."

"What he deserves is an ass kicking," Allison said, getting defensive. This wasn't her fault. She wasn't the one who said they were over and kicked her out of their house. She stood up to head back to the offices to look over her schedule for the day before SmackDown would air later. "I can't tell him Adam. He hates me, and it's just another thing he'd blame on me. Besides, even if he did before, there's no way he wants a baby with me now." With sad eyes, she turned and walked away.
