“Oh, ok Lil, I’ll go out and search in her friends’ house.”

“I’ll search on the way back home.”

“Hmm,” I nodded to myself and disconnected the call in a haste, to rush out.

She wasn’t anywhere, neither in the neighbourhood, nor in any friends’. I searched a few favorite cafe’s of ours too then here I am at the opposite street of our colony. Asking her acquaintances.

Clouds ringed the horizon, favouring an early sunset but yet allowing enough light for me to be positive about her safety.

“Silver?” This was the last voice I’d wish to hear today. Anger raged in my veins. I ignored his call and walked further, he outran me and was beside me in no time.

“Fuck off Momus, I ain’t in a mood to entertain you.”

“Ouch, okay, I won’t bother you.” He stopped walking and I continued. The necklace on my neck felt heavier for a movement.

My phone buzzed.

“Hey, umm...so I saw most places on my way home, she wasn’t anywhere.” Lilith’s voice held agony, worry, urgency but a strange calmness.

“Okay, I-'' My voice broke as I felt a touch on my shoulder and electricity flooded my veins, overpowering the boiling worry and panic. A calming sense sheeting over the blood.

I turned around unconsciously. And my midnight eyes met the amethyst ones. A strange pull kept me connected to the tall man in front of me. Suddenly the street around me was gone, I could see the sun, moon, clouds, a valley and...wings. Wide spread black wings. So ominous that they looked blue in daylight, his back was to me, bare back from which the wings arose. Toxicating smell of poppy filled the air, making me dizzy. They were spreaded to the extent as long as I could see, white and purple flowers. Then he turned around, and I saw those again, the spell-binding purple eyes.

The fiction fields were suddenly changed to the half busy street of Modern town. An unknown man stood in front of me. His jet black hair caressing his forehead which leads to winsome purple eyes.

Purple eyes! Who has purple eyes!

I had called Momus handsome, yes he was, but this guy was at an utterly different level of beauty, he was breath-taking. The looks paid well but what momentum held me was the aura he radiated and the electricity I was feeling on my shoulder, at his touch.

It felt almost impossible to take my eyes off him. I had never stared at a guy, especially a random guy, for so long. And the fact was, he was looking at me with the same intensity.

“Ahm,” a cough pulled me out of my utopia. “Morpheus, what’s wrong?” The voice, Momus’ voice. I jerked my head sidewise. But the stranger’s gaze never left me, I could feel it, nevertheless, his hand dropped from my shoulder and the coursing electricity vanished as nothing but a tinge.

Morpheus.

“Silver, you were in a hurry?” He eyed me, raising a delicate eyebrow. Reality occured to me. Yuri! I was to find Yuri!

“Silver,” the way my name rolled out of his mouth made my heart skip a beat and I could feel blood coursing up my neck and to my cheeks. He called my name, so delicately. I once again faced him and got captivated, again. But this captivity was so different, I wanted to stay imprisoned in these eyes, staring at them for hours and hours. My heart was threatening to break my ribs.

A pain in my arm made me realise that I hadn’t yet pulled down my phone. I would be looking so stupid at the moment. I immediately jerked my arm to my side and turned around.

“Y-yes, I am in a h-hurry.” What’s happening? I am stuttering, I never stutter. Fuck! Something’s wrong.

“But what’s the hurry about? You look so distressed.” Momus asked again. I gritted my teeth and glanced at him, who had come to stand in front of me, accompanied by the stranger.

“I c-can’t find my sister.”

“Oh, may I help you somehow?”

“Είναι αυτή;” The stranger spoke in his melodious voice. But in a foreign language.

“S-sorry?”

“Ναι,” Momus nodded while answering him. I stood there puzzled, as if two police officers were talking about dropping a lost child home.

Πως...” He said almost in a pleading tone, turning to stare at me. His gaze was so intent once again, his perfect brows knitted together in worry. I didn’t know why but my heart felt heavy seeing him in distress.

“What’s wrong?” I questioned absent-mindedly, finding my own brows knitted in worry.

Πώς τι αδερφέ;” Momus spoke once again in the foreign tongue. I jerked my head towards him, almost killing a neck-muscle, “Tell me what he was saying.”

“Είναι η ψυχή μου.”
