'Catch me!' I yelled as I jumped off the sofa into my father's arms, watching my mother giggle as my father made me 'fly' around the living room. He quickly placed me back onto my feet as my mother scolded him for hitting the vase and sending it shattering onto the floor next to the table. My mother scooped me up and started walking through the halls to my bedroom as she was humming her lullaby softly to me, my father walking just behind us. As she entered my room, she sat down on the armchair in the corner by the floor to ceiling window. She now started singing while rocking me slowly to get me to sleep. My father was happy to just stand and watch as she sang to me.~~~A few years later~~~I sit at the piano softly playing for her as my father was sat in a meeting. I stopped suddenly, she looked up from her embroidering with a look saying 'What's wrong?' I looked down sheepishly, 'Can you play the violin for a duet, please?' i asked her. She looked at me sympathetically, 'Of course, I can honey.' I waited patiently for her to pick up her violin from the side of the music room and watched as she walked back to the piano. 'What do you want to play honey?''Can we play Lavender's blue?''Yes, we can dear.'I softly start playing as my mother waits for her cue to start playing. As the song draws to a close, we hear someone clapping from the door behind us. I turn round, 'Papa!' I yell excitedly. 'Hey there Princess.' he greats me 'I loved your duet with your mother.''Thanks, Papa. Mama says I'm getting better.''You are honey.' my mother picks me up.~~~That evening~~~'Mama, Mama! Can you pick my gown for this evening?''Of course, I can darling. Do you have anything you don't want to wear?' she asked.'Yea, Those' I said pointing to the dresses respectively.'Okay honey, can you ask your father if he is nearly ready to go down?''Yep.' I say as I skip over to my father's room to ask what mama wanted to know.I come back in a few minutes later to my outfit laying on my bed and my mother finishing her make up.'He said he just needs to do his tie and then he'll come in.''Okay baby' she responds and helped me change into my ballgown.'Mama! We match!' I squealed into her ear.'We do, don't we Princess.'
