“We are here. Tie your horses up and we will travel by foot!” Levi yelled ahead of you all as you had finally came out of the thick shrub which surrounded the HQ. You looked around the large land scape, the sun beating down on all of you as you couldn’t help but cringe, the sun was nice to see but the unfamiliar heat was uncomfortable to your skin.

After we reached around the middle of the field, everyone slowed down their horses and began to dismount. You , once again not knowing what to do you tugged on the reins “Stop” You said quietly and shyly to the horse as you was scared that it would just start running even faster and only god knows where you would turn up. But luckily, the horse seemed to have taken a liking to you and slowly slowed down, you tugged its reins so it turned around.

Slowly you slung your injure let over to the side of the horse, making sure you didn’t bump it and then jumped off of the horse. Shakily patting its nose and neighed quietly. You walked over to the rest of them, feeling yourself slightly limp as you did so but you ignored the feeling. As you all tried your horses up to one of the logs which was made for the horses, and tied the reins around it before turning back to see that the squad was heading towards the forest, Levi ahead of them all and Hanji waiting for you.

“Are you even supposed to be using your ankle there (Nickname?) “ Hanji questioned with a frown as she walked closer to you and looked down at your injured foot as she gripped your wrist as she made sure you wouldn’t move away like you had first planned to. You glared slightly at the girls hand on your wrist and decided not to answer as you tugged your wrist away and started to walk after the group as fast as you could, your small limp still visible.

“Aww come on (nickname)! Don’t be a party pooper!” How the hell had she already made a nick name for you? Well then again it wasn’t hard but it was sure as hell pissing you off. She quickly caught up and walked behind you, her hands resting behind her head as she had a large carefree smile on her face. You could only wonder how she was able to stay in such high spirts all of the time….

“Now everyone up into the trees. I expect that I when I give you the orders of what route we were taking you do as I say! Rookie you better be able to do it or I will have you running laps until the sun goes down. So you better hope that you learn quickly!” Levi ordered as he looked back at all of us, before shooting his grapiling hooks into the tree branches, lifting him up into the air as he landed elegantly on the tree branch, his back facing the group.

The others were quick to follow his instructions, using their own grappling hooks from their 3DMG gear to pull them up and into the trees which surrounded you. Letting your own dig into the tree, you quickly used the gas to propel you forward and you also landed elegantly on the tree branch, well until you stumbled slightly due to your sore ankle.

“Now forward! There are fake titans, usual training, but I want you to teach this rookie about solo and team skills with taking a titan down. Go” Levi ordered and the rest of his squad shot forward. You used your 3DMG gear to land next to Levi so you could get a better look at how they would take down a titan together, but then again you weren’t really one for team work. You felt slightly intimidated standing next to Levi, but her heart was thumping slightly.

“I expect you to learn these quickly, I don’t need another person dying because they were too stupid to learn solo and team skills. Do you understand (Y/n)?” Levi muttered as he walked a bit closer to you, but you were sure he did so just to get a better look. Wait what? Did he just call you by your first name? You felt your heart flutter, you had been wanting that voice to say your name for years, you had yearned and now your wish was finally coming true.

“Yes sir” You nodded and continued to watch the amazing demonstration. There were about 6 titans lined up in the trees, where you and Levi both could see quite easily due to your angle. They all took one down themselves, moving fast and straight to the point striking the weak point on the titan dummies, the back of the neck. You then noticed they all slightly had different ways of doing it, their own styles which made them taking down a titan there own thing and just more unique, you couldn’t help but imagine what Levi looked like while he was taking down a titan, you bet it was as good as the others could do.

Then the 5 one they took down as a team.

  

By just looking at it this one seemed to be an overkill, so you were guessing that this would be for a titan that was out of control maybe? Obviously one that couldn’t me taken down by one solider alone, you knew you were going to have to go through quite a lot of schooling on titans, as you didn’t know much about them or know how to fight them.  Which wasn’t the best thing, because that was the difference between life and death.

A stale chuckle left the males lips beside you, and it caused you to look at him from the corner of your eye. He was looking at the group preforming, but you felt that he was looking at you at the same time.  He seemed to be analysing them quietly, before his gaze turned onto you, and you noticed that his eyes had seemed to soften a little and you felt a shiver run down your spine.

“Just make sure that you don’t die, I don’t want my brat dying on me now do I?” You heard him say quietly, and it made your eyes widened a little. Did he remember the note? Well hopefully he did, but the question was did he still have the same feelings for you, and the question was did he have any romantic feelings towards you in the first place.

You didn’t know what to make of Levi anymore, first off he was hard and cold, and now he seemed to be showing you some of his softer side, the loving side you didn’t get to see much in the underground, but only when you were both alone. But you couldn’t think about this girly romance stuff now, no you had a job to do, you had to learn how to fight the titans and survive when we went outside the walls.

“Come on (Y/N)! Your turn to take down your titan!” Petra called out to you as she landed on a tree close by. Erd, Gunther and the idioit Oluo landed on the branch beside her, all eyes on you as you took a deep breath, and you closed your eyes for a second before opening them, getting the blades from your 3DMG and holding the sword out as you leapt off the tree branch.
