wake up call.

“Here is your new horse.” Erd said as he turned to face you and Petra. He stood in front of the second last stall on the right, his hand holding the reins of a horse. You slowly moved closer, not showing any fear. The horse was quite taller then you, of course you were a short person after all. The horse had light brown running down its muzzle with splotches of white on its jaw. Its main brown and white, the rest its body splotches of light brown, dark brown, white, grey and black.

Holding the reins out to you, you took the leather straps in your hands and still looked at the animal somewhat timidly. Maybe it knew you were scared…? You looked at it dead on and it gently pressed it nuzzle against your shoulder. You went ridged but made sure no one else noticed your fear as you all walked out in a line with their horses.

As you all got out there you then noticed that Petra was pulling two horses in toe. You were guessing that was Levi’s horse. Bloody hell you would have to be blind, nope not even then could you not notice that this girl was attached to the corporal, if it was good or bad you didn’t know that, you would have to see this unfold.

Levi made his way over, followed by the ever enthusiastic Hanji Zoe. The girl smiled widely as she saw you, running over and giving you a tight hug and span you around once. You grunted and tried to push her away, cringing as she placed you down hurting your ankle. “Oh I missed you (Y/N)~ Your so cute in your uniform!” Hanji smiled and continued[ch1]  to smile widely. It was starting to annoy you, how hyper she was and all.

“Tsk shut up shitty glasses. You saw the darn breath yesterday. If you are coming shut your mouth and go get you damn horse!” Levi hissed at the brunette as she just waved off the male and skipped into the stables without another word. You then noticed that everyone else was mounting their horses, you just stared at the horse clueless as it nuzzled your side again.

You hugged quietly and you looked down at your bad ankle. This wasn’t going to be easy, but just as you were about to attempt to climb onto the horse, you felt warm, muscular arms wrap around your waist and give you a large push helping you sling your injured let over the other side of the horse as you now sat on the horse. You looked to your right, seeing the same cold glare on you as the corporal looked up at you.

“Thank you sir” You said as you kept eye contact with him. The male made a small clicking noise with his tongue, turning on his heal and headed back to his own horse before he mounted it. You could still feel his gaze on you, a shudder ran down your spine as you ignored the feeling. This man probably had no feelings for you know, and that was if he ever had them in the first place. You stroked the horse’s mane weakly, still timid of being on the males back as the horses leg muscles flexed as they started to move into a slow trot.

“Forward!” The corporal barked as he then set his horse into a full gallop, the rest of his group following after quickly. You, not knowing what to do gently kicked the horse’s side with your book and tugged the reins, sending the horse running forward as a small squeak left your lips. This horse was fast, where they all this bloody fast!?!?! You heard a loud laugh behind you, looking back you saw Hanji who was now coming up on your right.

“First time riding?” Hanji chuckled as you quickly looked forward and tried to focus on staying on the horse and not falling off, you didn’t want to embarrass yourself, you wanted to keep somewhat of a reputation and not drop it because you fell off a horse. You decided not to answer Hanji as your eyes were glued to the ground in front of you in the horse, your heart was pounding against his rib cage as you couldn’t help but fear about falling off.
