Chapter 12 - This Guy

Before the minute was over I saw some students arriving but still the arena

wasn't plenty like yesterday.

9:00

"Good morning..." the host started and paused from shock. She didn't expect that only a few students would be this early. "I guess some of the other students are still asleep. Well, this is their punishment. They won't be able to use their powers in they were to be picked to battle which they will be. Now everybody please be on your seats."

I went to the elites and sat near them.

"Hi newcomer." Angel greeted.

"Hi..." I replied.

"You nervous?" she asked.

"A little."

"Don't be. As long as you don't die that'll be okay."

"Thanks for the tip."

Why is Angel this kind? She wasn't like this before. Did something happen to her?

We waited for everybody to show up and when they did, we told them about the sanction of being late. Some were surprised but some still had .

confidence.

"Now everybody is here, let us begin the Academy Battle! Next Academies to battle are, Death Academy and Magic Arts Academy."

Edward's gonna battle next... I hope he wins

First battle will be, "Don Barron from Death Academy and Mitch Chao from Magic Arts academy. Let the battle begin!"

A lot of battles started and ended until it came to the last one. Both schools had the same points fifteen out of thirty-one. This next battle will determine which one will win.

"Next battle will be, Edward Fletcher and Lucy Swift."

"3! 2! 1! Fight!"

Edward waves his hands and it started to turn into tiger hands. Is this his power? He can change any part of his body into an animals? Well, I hope Edward and his teammates win this round.

Lucy started to take out bottles with some kind of liquid substance. It had different colors. What could those liquids be? She opened one bottle and drank it. This bottle had a violet colored liquid. She started to shake. She was on the ground screaming. What happened?

Edward took the chance and slashed her with his tiger hands. But... Lucy grabbed his arm and...

Twisted it.

"Agh!!" Edward screamed.

I looked at Lucy. She had this dark aura surrounding her. Her hair turned into pitch black instead of her original pink hair. She had a different appearance now.

She started to kick Edward in the stomach. She stopped and drank another bottle. This time, the liquid was red. She started to go berserk. She was crazy fast and her hair became red. Her eyes also became red. She was so fast she punched Edward in different directions.

Edward became unconscious.

"T-the win-winner of this battle is, Magic Arts Academy with 16 points." the host announced with a tone of nervousness.

I couldn't believe it. Edward lost. Well, I don't know him well yet so maybe he really is weak. But Lucy is just good. I bet our elites can't beat her. I just hope we don't get to face her if we pass this round.

It was already time to pick the next pair. I hope we would be paired with a weaker school. I don't want to die. I didn't want to be in this school in the first place.

"Ok everyone. We will now choose the next Academies to battle. First will be... Wizards and Witches: Immortal Academy. Ooo~ They're known to be one of the strongest schools. They won second on last years Academy Battle. Whoever is paired with them, you better watch out." she laughed.

I hope we won't...

"Second will be... GAIA Academy!"
