Meliodas X reader (slight zeldris x reader)

The end of the holy war

"Alright I have one more request" Derieri speaks

"What is it" the goddess asks

"That traitor, Meliodas, I want you to hand him over to us" my blood runs cold at the mention of his name and now that I start to think about him I can see a red glow under my shirt.

The necklace he gave me. He's near by.

"What is that" Zeldris asked after noticing the glow himself.

"It's meliodas" I told him "he's close"

Suddenly we can all hear a menacing laugh in the distance "well done lady Elisabeth, you've done an excellent job at buying us time. Our preparations are now complete"

"Damn you, playing us for fools" Derieri said in anger

I struggle against zeldris again "you really have to let me go this time, it's getting serious" I half yell at him

"Shhhhhh that's why I'm not going to" he says

We can hear something happening in the distance we look over in that direction and see a massive arc I try all I can to release myself from Zeldirs' grip but he just hold on tighter.

We can see all of our abducted comrades. The arc sucking out all of their life force and magical power. Suddenly the arc grows brighter and we can see all of our friends die, not even leaving a body behind.

I start to cry, this was the last thing I wanted. I can hear Derieri yell "so this is the way your people handle things" she strikes the goddess right in her putrid face.

There was a glow in the sky "no need to rage with that fierce look on your face I'll send you to join the others soon enough" it was another arch angel, two actually.

"Oh this should be fun" I hear Derieri say but I fear for her safety as well as everyone else's fun is the last word I would use to describe this event.

I yell as loud as I can "RUN, FLEA, RETREAT RETREAT"

They both start to summon mega arc and aim it directly at our army, luckily some people heard me as I see Galand snatch up Melascula. Although it wasn't enough they capture tons of our soldiers in their arcs and slowly I see more and more of our people parish.

After that all that remains are Galand, Melascula, Derieri, monspeet, and Fraudrin. An army of thousands reduced down to just 5 people. It was barbaric even by a demons standards.

"You have to let me go we both need to go up there and help them" I plead with Zeldris yet again.

"You just saw them take out our entire army, why on earth would I let you up there" he said to me

"Because I am an entire army" I shout at him

Both of our attention is drawn away as we see the remaining few wage an all out battle against the archangels but I fear that even they will be too weak to stop them. Suddenly Zeldris let's me go I try to fly up to help the others but I feel him pull me another direction.

"That is the opposite direction of where we are meant to be going, please we need to help them" I try to convince him.

But he pulls me further into the woods and away from the fight. As we run towards I don't know what I can feel immense amount of darkness coming from behind us.

"No" I speak "why would they do such a thing" it was Derieri and Monspeet they had turned into the indura forms

"There's no helping them now, just come with me" he kept insisting to me that he knew what was best but perhaps if I were able to fight with them this wouldn't have happened.

Finally we reached what he was running towards "look" he told me

It was humans and they were killing all of the fairies and goddess around them. "What is this" I asked him

"Well while you and my brother were busy pillaging I made a deal with these humans, get into stigma and help us take it down from the inside out" he said as we watched all of these humans betray those whose trust they gained.

"This is awful" I say to him

"Yeah and what they did was worse. The only way to win this dirty war is to think like them" he said to me and I suppose he was right. Though suddenly the fairy king returned. To find his people and even more importantly his sister lifeless in the wake of the humans. A feeling that we had all felt far too much today.

Out of anger and grief the fairy took his spear and aimed it directly at one of the humans slaughtering him just as he had done to his people.

"Stay right here for a second" Zeldris said to me as he walked up to the manic fairy king and offered him to join the Ten Commandments. After he had agreed zeldris came back to me and took me to a tower in the middle of the kings forest.

"What is this" I asked

"It's their base, inside is a portal to the demon realm. I want you to go through it, find my father and request for back up" he told me

I wasn't happy with him nor the way that things have been going all day long, but that sounded like a genuinely good idea.

I went into the tower and wondered around until I found the portal that he told me of. I walked through it and found myself back in purgatory.

I flew all the way to the castle and burst through the French doors leading to the kings throne room. I frantically told him of all the things that had happened.

"Was Meliodas there" he asked me

"Well I think so, I didn't see him but I sensed him" I told him

"Hmmm bring me to this portal" he requested

"Yes my king" I say to him as I summon my darkness wings and fly him all the way to the entrance

Once we made it to the portal he looked back at me "stay here, guard this portal with your life if anything non-demonic comes through kill it"

I bow "as you wish" and with that he was gone
