she had to deal with lizard-camouflage-dude
"not at all, mister! but.." she lifted her head up, whispering the last of her sentence so only her captor could hear. making his grip on his neck tighten even more, though nothing her pain tolerance couldn't handle.
"it takes a whole lot more than a weapon to my throat to faze me"
kirishima and bakugou could only silently wait, one anxious for their friend and the other itching to blow the reptile-person to bits. they couldn't hear what she was saying, which made them itch even more. the villain only getting more irritated,
"shut up!" his hand was shaking now, out of pure anger and irritation. she gave a small smirk when she felt his hand tremble, already knowing her plan was falling into place.
how easy the small minded are to provoke.
"i've faced death more times than i've lead people to it, you think it still unnerves me?" the girl continued, the reptile's cold blood ran a bit colder. his grip loosening the slightest bit in shock, the girl has killed before? then why the fuck was she training to be a hero?
she could sense what was running in his mind, she sighed, knowing she'd have to get rid of him too if she didn't want word to get out. from what she's observed, people around here are quite sensitive when the subject of death is brought up.
she should've been too, but after sending multiple of her siblings to their deaths from the years of being isabella's spy... i guess she's learned to accept it now. death is inevitable, after all.
"let me ask you a question, reptile-kun." she started, giving him the look her 'mother' gave norman and emma when she asked them if they went to the gate that night.
'i'm starting to act like mama again' she scolded herself, mentally noting to get rid of those little snippets of the older woman that managed to stick to her.
"the mist.. its a portal quirk, isn't it?" she asked, back to her normal tone of voice. the reptile-like-villain only sputtered as he observed her duality, it was terrifying.
not being able to reply, he only weakly nodded, his grip loosening even more.
that was all she needed. confirmation.
she took the chance and kicked his groin, doing the same to his stomach once he lost his grip on her completely.
you'd think she and emma were only goofing around while ray and norman did all the work? of course not! they both practiced close combat, studying about the human body to see all the weak spots, all the while doing it in secret of course, knowing how norman would probably scold them for sparring while ray would make fun of them.
its not that they would stop them, but it would be better if the boys' focused on planning instead of worrying about their stupid asses.
she gave him a final blow on his jaw, knocking a pressure point that made him unconscious. her calm expression came back on, the almost permanent smile coming back as she lead them out. "lets go, the others might need us."
though she looked calm, her veins were pumping with adrenaline— not from her fight, but from the fact that he confirmed it. the mist had a portal quirk.
he could be her way home.
"th-that was so manly, y/n-san! i'm so sorry for not protecting you" she dismissed the redhead, waving him off with a short 'just go save the others' before pushing out a dumbstruck bakugou. he snapped out of it though, yelling at her to "DIE FOR WASTING MY TIME"
to which she only answered with a simple "hai hai, you can kill me later" already tired of his bull. she heard him saying something about killing that mist thing earlier, which she had to keep an eye out, she didn't want him to kill her possibly-only way out.
