Chapter 6

Your POV: "Th-thanks for helping me back there" I told him once we were at the lake.

"No problem, that's what friends are for, right?" I nodded. 'Yea, friends'.

We stopped at a nice open area a little bit away from the dock. No one was at the lake, it was just me and Dipper.

"Is the lake always empty?" I asked.

"Sometimes, unless it's fishing season. Then it's packed, but we're lucky that it's not full."

"Yea" I placed my stuff down and started to take my shirt off to get ready to go in the lake, it was still awkward though since Dipper was there.

Dipper's POV: I set my stuff aside and took my shirt off. Since I was already wearing my swim trunks I didn't really need to change. I turned to ask y/n if she was ready to go in the lake, and I saw her in her two piece f/c swim suit.

"You look..." I couldn't finish my sentence because I had nothing to say.

"Ridiculous? I know." I nod disagreeing.

"What? You like it?" I nod.

Your POV: 'He likes my swimsuit? I thought I looked like a dork? But Dipper on the other hand looks...kinda cute!'

"Th-thanks! You look nice too!" I told him as I walked towards him.

He started walking towards the water and I followed him.

"The lake looks so pretty and clear!" I said once the lake got to our hips.

"Yea, look underwater" I went down, I opened my eyes and saw him clearly. His big brown eyes, the way his hair moves in the water. I dived down to see if he would end up chasing me and to my luck he did. We chased eachother for a while and then we both swam above the water.

We took in deep breaths and laughed a bit. Our faces were closer than ever and no matter how wet my face was, it felt hot.

"This was fun" I smiled breaking the silence, but Dipper never answered.

"um, Dipper? Earth to Dips." I got closer to his face.

"Are you oka-" I couldn't finish my sentence. Dipper pressed his lips onto mine. They were salty from the lake water, but I could tell they were sweet. My eyes were widened, but soon I fell over the kiss and melted in his arms. I tangled my hands on his wet hair and he did the same back. Dipper's other hand wrapped around me bringing me closer. Soon after we let go for air.

Dipper's POV: After the kiss her cheeks were a bright red and I felt mine were red as well. I then realized what I just did.

"O-Oh, I-I'm sorry, I didn't mean to-"

"Dipper it's fine" y/n told me. "It was actually kinda..nice" she gave me a smile.

"Listen, I really like you y/n. I know we just met and all, but I really like you." I told her.

Your POV: "I know you do. You kissed me first" I giggled looking at him, realizing we're still in the lake. I saw his cheeks bright red.

"And, I..really like you too!" I told him. His eyes lit up.

"Y-you do!?" I nodded. He swam up to me and lifted me by the waist I laughed while looking down at him.

"You have no idea how relieved I am to hear you say that!" He said with excitement. I laughed at the comment as he set me down in the water.

"Well now you know!" I smiled looking at Dipper as my hair fell on my face.
